I was dissapointed with her class and her teaching/communication skills. Received A's on the labs, low C's on the tests( very hard) but ended up almost failing due to the fact that her TA's graded my zoo paper entirely wrong. I had to get it re-graded by her. Never uploaded test grades on time either. Don't take her if you don't have to.

Took it pass/fail, never really showed up to lecture (it was really boring), lab was a huge waste of time (1 hour 45 min) full of long, tedious and boring work not to mention TA never let us out early. Tests are okay, but pass/fail wise just go to lab and do the paper and you're practically set.

Overall, I think this is an easy A class if you do all of your labs and attend lectures/get notes from friends. She posts notes on BB but those are only key points that she talks about in class. Exams are pretty easy everything on them is pretty much from notes, sometimes annoying details.

Comment:

Easy class, getting an A is pretty hard, but a B is really easy. Labs are attendance required, lectures are somewhat required. Attendance isn't taken in lectures, but some material on tests appears from lectures. THE TESTS DO NOT GO ALONG WITH THE LABS VERY WELL. SHE TESTS IN ADVANCE OF LABS. READ OVER ALL LABS AHEAD OF TESTS.

She knows her stuff and you have to go to lectures because even though she puts up the slides, the important stuff is everything she says and if you miss that than you'll be lost. I'd recommend typing since its faster or recording her lectures. It's all about the exams so remember everything!

This class is so easy. I can honestly say if you put even just a little effort into this class you will get an A. Just make sure you go to labs and get notes online if you miss a lecture.

Well you have to get the notes, its all on the test, what she says after the powerpoint presentation, not just what u see. she tells u what to study so that you can read labs, book and notes. For the first test i didn't study got a high c second test i studied for two hours got a c and last test forgot about also got a c. and The TA's dont help!

This class was fairly easy. I didn't really try in this class since I was taking it credit/no credit and still managed to get a low B so if you try just a little I'm sure you can manage to get an A! I was also lucky to get a very lenient ta so that helped too. Be warned. Your email will get spammed by people asking for the lecture notes!

She is a good professor, but she gets really pissed about people missing class. The lectures are incredibly informative, which is why the book is practically unused. She knows when the lectures get boring, so she lets them out early. Otherwise, she's pretty funny and sarcastic. It's a somewhat-easy A.

Really good prof. Knows her stuff and doesn't take any BS. Just show up, do the work, and you'll learn a lot w/ a good grade to prove it. Her lectures are best understood if you sit close to the front; her sense of humor is subtle and often at the expense of the not-so-bright students. Especially amusing if one shares the intellectual high ground.

I loved Rizzo. She was one of the most informative professors i've had at this school. Her sense of humor is good too. Go 2 class and take notes. ALOT. Most of the work is based on class notes.

half of the tests are what the tas say. the other half is random. tests are super hard. you need to now little details. not a fun class. it was cool to go to the zoo but thats it. if your not into anth then this class will be a pain. not fun.

Comment:

Lecture notes appear on the test, but if you have a good memory just showing up will do. Labs are very easy...almost too easy at times i.e. copying out of the book in front of TA to get 100% is OK. Discussions are interesting and are tested. Easy B if you pay attention and do the work. It would be hard not to pass, but an A will require work.
