The first college teacher I ever had and he was good. Very knowledgable and did a good job of explaining what he wanted from you. I went on to get my degree in Drafting because of him. Subject was difficult at first but became easy. People who are complaining he was never their just arent cut out for drafting. It was begining Autocad give me break.

Comment:

He makes it pretty easy to get a good grade. There are 4 tests including the final which (not cumulative). The first and fourth do not have essay questions. They all include slide identification, matching, fill in the blank, and multiple choice. They are all open note. It is easy to get a good grade if you study. I would recommend this professor.

Great architecture teacher! His love for the subject shows in his lectures. Subtle humor. Tests are outlined the class before and very direct. For arch history pictures, drawings and the power points are the best tools.

Ken is awesome! He is my main source of information from this school regarding architecture, and if you just put a little effort into his classes, you will get an A. I've received A's in all the classes I've had with him so far. If you can get past the monotone voice, he is really really funny. And I met my fiancé in one of his classes too!

AWESOME. You get a solid set of lecture notes for the semester, and all tests and quizzes are open note. He has a distinct passion and talent for architecture. He lectures for the entire class but its good, interesting information and he makes it really accessible. Lots of opportunity for extra credit. Great class, great teacher. Highly recommend!

Sadly, he hit the list of one of the worst teachers I have ever had. It was a waste of time. I taught myself more then he did by reading the and working on the assignments. I saw him maybe 30 mins in a 4 hr class. Huge disappointment. Others that comment how great is probably cuz they can come and go when they want. Gives a bad name for teachers.

I took his class during the summer. I have always disliked History and actually thought this wasn't going to be any different, but I actually found it really interesting. Loved his lectures, there are a lot of pictures, which help you remember what he discusses, he is easy to talk to and is willing to help you when you need him.

i've taken all of his classes and yeah he might be late or only lecture for 30-45 min on a 5 hour design class(keep in mind that halve of these hours are working hours not lecture) but regardless of all negative comments they guy knows what he's talking about, plus he has tons of office hours. if you pay attention u will learn lots from Ken.

This Class was horrible. I enrolled for two of his classes this summer (2008) and I ended up walking out half way through the first one on the first day of class. ( I did not return for the next one which was architectural history, however, I have since then heard that he was better at teaching this class. ) Bottom line: monotone/horrible teacher.

One of the worst teachers I have ever had in my life. Felt like it was a waste of my time. In a 4 hour class day, there was maybe 35-40 minutes of actual teaching, and 2 hours of him absent from the classroom. As a teacher I would never do that. QUITE SAD!!!

Good teacher. Knowledgeable and gets down to business. He can be sort of monotone sometimes but the subject matter is interesting so I never fell asleep. Also he is really really sweet and cute, he is older but girls seem to like him anyways.

True, he is usually late...and he lets you go early, but he is a very good instructor. He really knows the material and typically assigns week/month long projects. If you need him to tell you what to do on your own project, then maybe Architecture is not for you.
