I took stats online so it was different.. nice professor. But extremely unorganized.. always making mistakes. I like him as a person, but not as a professor. Avoid if you can. However, online class has wayyyy easier exams thanregular class.

Dr. Leon is absolutely the worst teacher at UT. I have never struggled so much with a teacher as I have with him. I have straight As, but his class is impossible because his lectures have NOTHING to do with the tests. Struggled to pull out a B with a TON of outside work. He never answers your questions and just rambles on about nothing. A.W.F.U.L.

DO NOT TAKE THIS TEACHER. I think he is highly autistic. Knows his stuff, but rambles in class and jumps from topic to topic, spending barely any time on the material. I learned EVERYTHING outside of class. His accent is incomprehensible, and he does not take class seriously. STAT dept held review sessions JUST for his students before exams

never had this guy in class, but today he "helped" me in stat lab. Difficult to understand. Very abrasive. Scribbled all on my paper. I never got an answer to my question. Basically, he just confused me more. As of now, I will avoid coming to stat lab when I know he is there.

Honestly not the best teacher, but not the worst. Can be very difficult to understand. I studied a lot outside of class and made an A. Pay attention on the lectures, watch the review sessions and ask questions after class. Class is doable if you are willing to put in the work.

Dr. Leon is a horrible teacher.He does not speak English well and he cares more about being funny than teaching the material. I made an A in the class but it was very frustrating with almost all effort spent outside of class because his lectures are useless. He is the worst teacher I have ever had at UT stay away!

Tries hard but is just flat out not a good teacher. Very hard to understand. Class was only about 10% full by the end of the year because it didnt help listening to his lecture. I'd recommend taking someone else.

LOVE him! He gives so many ways for you to learn. Records every lecture online. Gives multiple online coaching sessions before quizzes and exams. He wants you to LEARN and DO WELL. Gives you every opportunity to get help (skype, cell phone, email). Uses humor in class! He puts so much time into making sure you do well. Easy to do well with effort!

Dr Ramon tries very hard and gives multiple ways to learn everything.. so many that you wont go to class. Cant really understand him. He announces quizzes and tests ahead. Honestly my TA was great and thats what helped the most.
