This was a very interesting class, but the grading is unfair. She will not tell you what is expected from you and then lecture you about why you were wrong. She also is unfair with the grading for participation. Her tests are not too bad if you study very hard for them. I have to say she was judgmental to students at times.

By far the best professor I have ever had. It was a lot of reading but I genuinely learned so much. You do get quizzed on a chapter a week but as long as she can tell you read she goes pretty easy on you. 100% recommend you take a class with Dr. Shelley! She cares, is hilarious, and really knows what she's talking about!

You have to read the Psych book front to back with her. Lectures are interesting and she loves the material a lot. Tests are tough no matter how much you study because she picks out small details. Occasional extra credit options, including test corrections. Also is late to class a lot and keeps you at least 5 minutes late.

Best teacher I've ever had. I took two online classes with her and we've never met, but I feel like I've known her for years. She's THAT personable. Amazing woman, amazing teacher. If you have a chance to take a psych course with her TAKE IT!

One of the best professors on campus. Her classes were a great mix anecdotes and useful notes on Child Psych. The class has a reasonable amount of work for a college level course. I ended up taking as many classes as possible with her.

The best thing about her is that she knows her stuff up and down. She is extremely knowledgeable, and teaches the material in a very understandable way. She can come off as snobby, and it is easy to see why some people do not like her. But that aside, she is a good teacher. A bit disorganized, but you will learn a lot. Study for the tests!

Professor Shelley is the phenomenal. Her class is so easy to sit through because of the stories and life experiences she tells. I would highly recommend her to anyone. There was a lot of reading (articles) in this course, but it was all worth it. TAKE HER.

Prof. Shelley is the best! She makes you pay attention because she is so animated and funny. She makes me so interested in the material because she explains it so well. The tests are fine if you read the book and pay attention in class. I definitely recommend her if you have the option to take a class with her!

She's a very knowledgeable teacher and really knows her stuff. Make sure you take lots of notes and read the chapters every week. She'll give you a reading quiz every monday. Her tests can be challenging if you don't study well enough. Great class overall though!

thought she was pretty good. easy grader on the labs, though still hard to get an A. i thought i was gna get like a C, but ended up getting A-. She's funny too, but I can see y some ppl dont care for her.

She is a really good teacher. You take tons of notes though and you need all of those notes for your exams. You take a quiz though every monday and have to read a chapter every weekend which can be about 30 pages. I really like her though, you can correct your exams for half the credit back.
