One of the main reasons I want to become a teacher. I tried to visit him a couple weeks ago but found out that he has left the teaching arena. A true loss to education, they don't make them like him anymore. I wish you the best Mr. Kemp.

Thanks to all for your comments, even the bloke who couldn't stand me. It broke my heart every time a student didn't succeed. I did what I could to help. Those who didn't want to work hard or take me up on the countless offers of support did us both a disservice. Alas, the grind of paper grading has taken its toll, and I've moved on. Best of luck!

This is the best English teacher ever at shasta college.But also is one of the toughest ones.You really need to be willing to work hard in his class.BUT he is willing to help you WRITE YOUR ESSAY and see you after class and gives very insightful comments that make your writing pretty good. Comment:

Mr. Kemp is one of the highest quality teachers you will find anywhere. Mr. Kemp will make you work; so, if you want to be a poor student or a pain in the ass, don't take him. To the kid who said he wouldn't help him, you are a fool. This guy is willing to spend even his free time helping students.

I found this teacher to be very inciteful. The class was overrall pretty fun. The Marc knowns his subject and teachs it well. He is not the kind of teacher that will hold your hand. I recommend making an appointment with him if you need help on essay or such.

Despite an "A" in both Eng. 1A and Eng. 1C, and help from professionals, due to my essay results I only obtained a "C" in this course! It is the only "C" in a transferable class I ever had!

Couldn't stand the guy. Worst class i have ever taken. No matter how well I wrote a paper, it was never good enough for him. Needs to hold conferences with students to show progress or work on things that need improvement.

One of the best teachers I have encountered. He has clear understandable standards that are obtainable with hard work and effort. He is also very encouraging and helpful. He puts a lot of time and effort into helping all of his students.
