Paul Shore is my favorite history prof. He welcomes people who arrive to class at different times. He is quick to respond to emails and he always faces all his students. He doesnt can history and i think he knows what NDN tacos are now. This professor will give you lots to take into the real world. He also knows Poutine now

I loved this class and Dr. Shore was so great at motivating and encouraging all of his students! My interest level wasn't very high prior to taking this class but I really learned a lot and ended up enjoying it, as well!

Probably my favorite teacher at SLU. I'm not really that interested in history but he made it really interesting and I actually got excited to go to class. 2 midterms and a final, doesn't grade too harshly. Take if you can!

Dr. Shore is by the far the best teacher at SLU. He is the only teacher that made me look forward to class. He is very interesting to talk to, and discussion is the basis for class. If you have the chance to take him and do not you will regret it. Unfortunately any teacher you have after him will suck in comparision.

Great teacher! Very interesting and I looked forward to going to his class everyday. This class does not require that much work outside of a year end portfolio. I would recommend it to anyone.

Dr. Shore is a very nice man, but he does not grade very easily. Classes are very long and sometimes difficult to sit through. Playing the Devil's Advocate is fine. If you love long-winded teachers. The topics are logical facts with a few shockers mixed in. I knew most of the information coming into the class. He also uses an expensive book.

As a not education major, I was looking to fufil my diversity requirment in a painless manner. This worked. He even let me hold controversial (non-uber-progressive) views without docking my grade. Besides this, the guy is smart and knows his stuff.

Complete joke. Definitely an easy A. Requires two article reviews, a midterm, and a portfolio at the end. No quizzes and always interesting topics. His vocabulary is AMAZING.

He's a very thought-provoking teacher. Don't take him for a history class unless he's teaching something you're REALLY interested in. class includes discussion, midterm, final, and 20-25 page paper.

Very intelligent guy who knows how to create interesting class discussion. Attended Yale and is on the SLU Admissions Committee. Very easy class. I'd definitely recommend it to education majors and non-majors as well.
