Dr. Cherry is easily my favorite prof at SEU. Kind, caring, genuine, and passionate, he will make sure you understand every topic. He was pretty easy on grading, as so long as you actually did the work. His lectures were hilarious and thought provoking. If you didn't think about something during writing or listening, you weren't really trying.

Dr. Cherry completely changed the way I thought about medical ethics. His class was constantly entertaining and he very obviously knew the material well. Sometimes his political views can be a little much at times, but his perspective is an interesting one.

Professor Cherry provided excellent commentary from a very unique sociopolitical perspective that gave me some solid insight onto a variety of topics in the world of medical ethics. No matter what your personal beliefs are regarding these topics, it is interesting to hear this man's perspective on them.

He is super friendly and all you have to do is sit in class, and take notes on the lecture. We had one 2 page double spaced essay due every Friday ,and the readings were online and were mainly used to help with the paper. We had 1 group project. He was amazing !

This guy is so funny and interesting. I'm not even a philosophy major and I just took this class because he is teaching it. The class isn't too hard but there's a lot of reading. It's super fun and I looked forward to every class day. One of the best professor's I've ever had at SEU.

Had him for medical ethics. This guy is freaking awesome. Every lecture was mind blowing, engaging, and interesting. I would recommend non-philosophy majors to take a class with him if you have room in your degree plan. Course grade was based on a few papers that weren't too difficult. I learned SO much. 10/10 would recommend.

Prof Cherry is insanely smart and a very good lecturer. He is very informative and passionate about what he teaches, and its great to just sit and listen to him. He gives weekly homework assignments and there's technically no wrong answer. All you have to do is have a valid point and explain it well.

Took Dr. Cherry for my religion and philosophy freshman studies class. Lectures were pretty cool, he is passionate about what he does and it shows. Homework is due weekly but he is a very easy grader and there is never a "wrong" answer with him. Easy A if you turn in your homework and show up to class. Simple as that!

Dr. Cherry is hands down the greatest professor at St. Edwards and one of the most intelligent beings I've ever met. His class is tough, but it's worth it in the long run. Go to his office hours, ask questions, he is there to help. He'll fight as long and as hard as you do!

Wild, weird man. He has his own crazy ideas, indeed the best choice for freshman studies in the sense that there's barely any homework, no test, and certainly no quiz's. If he is still teaching religion and philosophy, take it.

It was truly a privilege to be in Dr. Cherry's Medical Ethics class. I cannot speak more highly of him. He truly takes pride in being a professor, and I have so much respect for him. Every class he was excited to be there and you can tell how he loves what he does. It is a necessity to take him for one of your courses during your time at St. Eds.

Go to class. He doesn't require it but it will make the difference between an A or a B. It's very difficult to do anything without being in class. He gives all the answers you need so long as you show up. He's a very good teacher and I would recommend him to someone else

You're not required to go to class but you're asking to fail if you don't haha! Cherry is AWESOME and helpful! He's hilarious and keeps you interested in class. I took this class as my philosophy requirement and I'm so glad i did. Be careful though, there's only 5 tests (your only grades) but the class is pretty legit if you ask me

I love Dr. Cherry!! He's CRAZY smart; he has some wierd ideas, but backs them up extremely well. He is my favorite Lit. & Phil. professor. It's great to get to learn about philosophy - something entirely new to me - from such an interesting person. (And it's nice to see a college professor arguing against socialized medicine! :-)

Cherry takes one of the most difficult and drab subjects in philosophy, Logic, and makes it lively and interactive. His teaching abilities shine in his logic classes. If you struggle, he's always there to help. He even structures his class to help you make as high a grade as possible. Logic is the absolute best class he teaches.

He's an oddball, but he's hilarious. Easier grader and more down-to-earth than the other professor for Lit/Phil. His ideas and stories are very entertaining.
