Professor King is super sweet and understanding. There are a few main assignments but weekly in class work that can seem tedious but lead up to the bigger papers. There is a lot of reading. She grades a little tough (average is a c-b) but allows you to revise essays to get an A.

If you don't go to class, you will be confused on the writing projects and in class assignments that are due. You will be writing papers weekly, which becomes very heavy, very quickly. She is more than reasonable and caring, and will help/give extra time when needed. Make sure you're doing the assignments when assigned as they stack upon eachother

Recommend to take this class for ENG302, easy grader but tough, I had to revise a few papers to get an A- rather than a B+. Try hard enough to write good papers and you just might be able to get an A in this class. She was able to help me enough to fix all my errors.

Professor King has been my favorite professor at Mason. She cares about her student's success which is reflected by my grade. She is the ideal professor - grades on time, respects the students, and assigns interesting readings and essay topics. Some might complain that attendance and participation are mandatory but I never had a problem with it.

Professor King is a very nice and patient person. Get prepared to do lots of homework and in-class work. She's kind of a tough grader and you are most likely to use your opportunity to revise your essays.

SUPER nice lady. I work 5 days a week and could not turn anything in on time however, she accepted my late work considering my situation. She will work with you if you want to pass the class. BB is pretty disorganized but she probably cant do any better; perhaps not too tech savvy.

There're so many assignments (busy-work) leading up to the major papers. The readings aren't related to the assignments, but they're discussed in class. Her BlackBoard is cluttered with content which is very disorganized. She is really nice, helpful, and forgiving, but the class structure is pretty confusing. Ask her questions about the homework.

I really enjoyed because she is very caring. She wants to have a chance to get to know every student personally. Her grading on the essays and response papers is a little bit harsh, but they helped me become a better writer since I had a chance to revise them. Show up to class though because most of the assignments are in class.

Lots of reading and writing. There's an assignment for every single class. She doesn't really explain much when it comes to her major papers; just has you do small steps to finish it and assume you'll know how to do it already. She's a really kind person and gives you a change to improve papers along the semester.

Very nice and passionate Professor. I personally thought she assigned WAY too much and she would continuously ADD work to assignments on the syllabus. I wish I had more time to put in my ultimate best work, but as a full time student that was working two jobs - It wasn't ideal. She would be a great 1-course summer semester Prof!

There was a lot of assignments that we had to do both inside and outside of class, but at the end they all helped me better understand how to analyze readings and write essays better. Most of the grading is from in-class assignments and participation so you can't skip. Her grading was little bit harsh, but she let us do revisions, so it wasn't bad.

She is such a sweet and caring professor, responds to emails really quickly and is very approachable and will work with you. However, she assigns TOO much work, she doesnt stick to the work assigned on the syllabus. She is a tough grader, you will become a better researcher once youre done with her class though!

GREAT teacher. Gives good feedback and really cares about students. All readings are online, so no need to buy a textbook. Lots of work, but you really learn a lot. Gives you plenty of chances to revise and raise your grade. Lots of in-class and group discussion. Overall, a really nice person and fantastic professor. I would easily take her again!

My perspective was a little different. I thought the readings were useless because the entire class is building up towards a final literature review that is poorly explain and readings have no role in it at all. Assignments criteria is vague at best She is very knowledgeable but I personally prefer a more structured course. But you can rewrite

She is the best professor I have ever met at GMU. She is always willing to help, and she lets you revise your essays as much as you want until the end of the semester. If you show her that you are working hard, an easy A will be in your hand.
