Comment:
Dr. Cipollini is incredibly boring. Having him for 2 hours a week is bad enough, no way I could handle a lecture with him. He never lets you leave early and usually spends the first 30-60 minutes explaining what we are doing which is painful as he is monotone and talks slow. Will interrogate your group if your results vary from expected results.

Eh. Don't recommend if you really like bio and want to do good. He is hard to understand and doesn't teach much. I asked lots of question but he wasn't ever helpful and I always went to Mingone instead who is great! you have to put in a lot of work before lab.

This man has the personality of a saltine cracker. Dull and boring. His lecturing skills are awful, will skip over slides with a lot of information and trust me it will be on the test. His lab is boring too, if you finish an hour early get ready to sit there for an hour because he won't let you leave

Comment:
Dr. Cipollini has a distant persona and can tend toward the abrupt, but he is very nice if you reach out to him. He expects you to put forth effort in this class, which means attendance, questions, and studying. If you do these things, the class is enjoyable; he really knows what he's talking about, and you can tell he cares about the subject.

Everybody hates on this guy, but if you study the powerpoints and communicate with him during class then it is quite easy to do well in. Also if you show interest in anything about plants then he'll love you. Would take again.

Attitude problems. Don't ever ask a question in this class unless you want to be made to feel like a moron. He also can't seem to figure out how to write an effective test question, and always ends up rescinding at least one on every exam.

Amazing professor! It's really not as hard as everyone is making it I didn't try as much otherwise an A+ would've been made. Just read the freakin power points and really understand them. Don't memorize. For lab note down every detail of the procedure and everything he says. You can't go wrong unless your not putting enough effort.

Boooorring!!! He's nice and will let you make up assignments. But he is very monotone and his class is a snoozefest. If you're an insomniac, I recommend this professor.

He is great! I loved having him in lab and lecture. While many students don't "get" him, you just have to know what he likes. I took his Micro class and loved it. He brews his own beer, and when he talks about it his face lights up. He really cares that you understand the material. He's not the easiest, but I found him interesting!

His teaching methods are to just read a powerpoint that he gave you the day before. Tests are hard but if you study they will be passable. Arrogant at times, likes to rationalize i circles

He's an easy A in lab, if you can handle the stupidity and lack of preparation. Atleast twice labs weren't set up with enough preparation time before hand for yeast to grow, etc. My TA saved what would have been a horrible lab, Justin = complete ****.

BORING! Are we in 3rd grade here? Seriously, the dept chair should be able to find adequate materials for his lab, or at least be able to fix problems with procedure. I learned nothing from this man.
