Professor Eaverly is an absolute gem. She is incredibly kind, passionate, and knowledgable. Her lectures can be disorganized at times, but if you stay engaged, you will easily earn an A. Quizzes were open-note and projects were enjoyable. She cares more about the transmission of knowledge than the strict assignment of grades. Amazing professor.

She is an absolute angel. If you have the chance to take one of her classes, I 100% recommend. Show up to lecture everyday and take notes and youll pass with a 100%. Her quizzes are super easy and you can tell she loves what she teaches. This was by far the best class Ive taken so far.

There are 6 pop quizzes (lowest of the 6 is dropped), a midterm, and the final. The questions are pretty specific, like you have to know the names and places for almost everything. She's nice and the class is interesting, but get ready to take lots of notes because she doesn't post the power point slides online. Study every day in case of quizzes.

Not terrible. She doesn't post the lecture slides online so you HAVE to go to class. But it's not like the lectures would be helpful beside the pictures because she just talks the whole time. Exams are relatively easy as long as you study for at least a day. SUPER tough grader on essays. She is caring and a nice lady.

Took for topography and Monuments of Athens. Map quizzes were easy, the essay project is straightforward, and exams weren't bad. Reading the book wasn't necessary if you went to class, but the pictures were necessary for review before the exam.

Awesome teacher with a really bright personality! Super funny, usually pretty clear, and very laid back about the textbook. Just showing up and taking decent notes is enough to do well; I didn't even look at the textbook until the very end. She does talk pretty fast sometimes, but she can be considerate and slow down. And sometimes she sings!!

She is a really outgoing and upbeat teacher. Loves to make jokes and break out into song. Beware of pop quizzes - sometimes you can senses when one is coming, but be sure to review your notes everyday, just in case! Great course for anyone who loves or is interested in Greek Mythology. Tests are fairly easy if you review your notes. I got the

Took this to have a fun easy class, and Dr. Eaverly delivered. Lectures are entertaining, and also mandatory for the pop quizzes. Never looked at the book, barely glanced at my notes and got A's on all the exams. She does impressions of the characters in the myths which are really entertaining. Would definitely take a class with her again.

Amazing professor! Very knowledgeable about the course material for all the courses she teaches and helps make it really interesting and funny. Essay tests were kind of stressful but she was very straightforward about what she wanted to see and how she graded. Really a lovely woman, is very willing to write letters of rec once you get to know her.

I loved the class but the pop quizzes and tests required studying. I got an A in the class but still had to put in some effort. She's pretty funny and tells the stories very well. I never really read the book just studied my notes. I recommend this class with her.

She is absolutely an amazing professor. She presents material in an easy to understand way and keeps students engaged with her side-stories, as if the material wasn't interesting enough; her lectures stick in your mind which makes exams simple. Her class is pretty much story time. I did not use the book, ever.

Dr. Eaverly is the best professor and just a genuinely nice person. She is extremely funny and keeps you engaged in every lecture. There are pop quizzes so go through your notes every day. Otherwise if you read the book and pay attention in class her tests are very fair.

Dr. Eaverly is the best professor I've had. She's really funny and the lectures feel like story time. The class is not hard if you like it. People say the tests are tricky but I don't think they are - it's just a lot of material to cover at one time. It gets confusing with all the names to remember, but it's not impossible. Anyways, 10/10 Loved it!

I'm very interested in Classics and Eaverly is an awesome teacher. I enjoy the class, her tests are just weird. The material is really easy she just makes the tests tricky so I always end up getting Bs, and since the class is only based on tests it sucks. Buy the book though its cheap and awesome.

make sure you go to her class because she does pop quizzes once a week on that past weeks material. other than that just study your notes a ton and you should get at least a B.
