Comment:
Tari is a great lecturer but can be a bit abrasive at times. However, she has a great sense of humor and if you work hard you will earn her respect and be just fine. Be prepared to work hard for your grade. There are no easy A's in her classes. In fact, there are hardly any A's for that matter.

She piles on so much information during the lectures and flies through it so quickly that it is almost impossible to keep up. Her lectures also jump around a lot, making it hard to keep things straight. Her grading is really harsh, and she takes points away for the smallest mistakes on written answers. Would not recommend this professor at all.

Tari is TOUGH, but so is microbiology. She gives EC ?'s and makes tests worth less points, so your grade is better than you thought. Lectures are SUPER interesting. Tari comes off as unapproachable, and gets snippy when corrected or when you ask a ?. Tari is intense, but the best micro teacher. 5 week summer class 10hr/day to study. No joke.

Tari is knowledgeable in what she teaches and wants you to succeed, but that is only if you put in the work. It feels more like a 5 credit course! DO NOT TAKE LAB BEFORE LECTURE! almost late to class half the time and she gets mad about it! often times she belittles you when you have a question. misspelling microbe names ZERO CREDIT GOOD LUCK!

I drove from over an hour away to get to her class twice a week. I had a B in the class up until the last week of class when I missed a day of lab and she failed me. How can one go from a B to an F in one day? DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS. She is a horrible human being.

Extremely unprofessional communication style and negative attitude towards students. She prides herself on failing a large number of students. I don't recommend her at all.

I am taking her right now for a summer course. She demands way more than other instructors at Normandale - but that's a good thing! She's a little intimidating but she honestly wants you to LEARN. She goes above and beyond to ensure that you do. Lab is insane in the summer, though. I'd suggest taking her during the regular school year.

She is very tough because she expects the most from students. Her course also prepares you for your tougher classes in your field.

Tari is as clear as you can be on what her expectations are. If you want to pass the class you put in time to study and you listen to what she is saying and teaching and you take notes. You won't just be handed stuff in her class you need to apply yourself and work for your grade. She is a great professor

Tari yells constantly . She seems to suffer from a complex and has no respect for anyone. She berates you for asking questions. Not helpful & not approachable. Passed her class with an A, but I took Micro years before. She creates a hostile environment in class and lab. Enduring my tour in war was more tolerable. Exams were hard/tricky.

I decided to drop the class after the first week of the semester . Must show up in class otherwise you will never pass because lab questions are given in class not for those who did not attend. Huge workload that may cost you 15-20 hours of self study per week. I do not recommend anybody unless you are part time with nothing else to do.

Tari is by far one of my most favorite professors. She is very difficult to please however I have never learned so much in one semester. Being that most people are going in to a medical field that take this class I think she is the teacher for the job. She's also funny, what can I say? I would recommend her to anyone.

she's a tough teacher, and she really makes you work for your grade. The tests are hard, but the lab work isn't that bad, most of the labs are interesting, and she is very helpful on the manakin exam, bone lab, and the rat lab, she will pretty much give you answers if she sees you working hard in the lab. all together she was decent, but tough

Tests can be confusing and tricky. She is a REALLY picky grader. USE HER LECTURE NOTES! They will decrease writing and increase focus. Look things up on YouTube for visuals. Compare notes with book. Everything moves together. Understand one part before moving on. Double-check yourself. The class is a lot of work, and no Tari doesnt let you off easy

Science is supposed to be tough, but her class is insane. The 1st quiz, 57% of the class failed, with 7/72 students receiving A/B grades. The 2nd quiz 73% failed the quiz with 0 A's, and only 2 B's. Slightly wrong grammar she will dock you. Every detail counts and there is no room for her to be understanding. Be HIGHLY detailed and hope it's enough

Comment:
I really struggled in this class (Human Biology). Quizzes and exams were very tough but labs are not time-consuming and lab reports are easy. I don't recommend asking questions in class because she is a very condescending lecturer, but in the bio lab she is very helpful. There are a couple oral quizzes/labs which she helps a lot & grades easily.

People that like to ask questions/talk in lecture to hear themselves speak/waste time quickly learn it doesn't fly with Tari. If you have a question or are confused, go to office hours! Lots of points from lecture, don't be late or skip! Use textbook Micro by diseases and taxonomy from library, she bases all lectures direct from it. Prepare for lab
