Comment:

Professor Faly is one of few professors that wants to see his students succeed. I have to admit, his class was a challenge but you adjust to his teaching style; he is always there for questions and makes time to truly sit down with you for clarification. He is a great guy that is passionate and eager to see his students succeed!

Comment:

I had him for Trigonometry. He's got a slight accent and he flies through material. He took the place of our old professor who quit mid-semester, so he tried to follow the previous professor's syllabus. I don't know how he would have made things different if he had been our professor from the start, but overall the class was manageable.

I thought he was a great professor! Yes he did have an accent - but you CAN understand him. Given all the horror stories about Grossman, this is the professor. If you did the homework (I did) you could get a 4.0 (I did). He also slowed the class down for those who were struggling to comprehend - but at some point you have to keep going.

He does not speak English clearly at all. He is not really concerned about his students. All he wants to do is to teach teach TEACH as much as possible. If you can not learn with a very very fast paced teacher do not take him. This class is all about how many sections he can get done in an hour.

I was extreamly annoyed at the way this teach had a lack of interest in helping his students during in class period. All he wanted to do was fit as much information into a 1 hour session as possible. He makes alot of mistakes so it makes it even more confusing. I wouldnt recommend this teacher to anyone!

this is the best prof i have had!if every1 of my prof's were so helpful & actually cared about the students like this one I would look forward to coming to class. whats different about this professor is he actually CARES if his students are not understanding a section and he will not stop teaching it until everyone understands i would def recomend!

TERRIBLE, avoid at ALL COSTS, one of the worst teachers ever, runs through class at sprinting speed,doesnt care that students are in this class because there not great at math, had to drop this class after the third test, out of 30 some students only like 8 were left on last day and oh he "forgot" to tell us when SI was until the 6th week of class.

This is the best math professor offering this course. He is vey helpful, knowledgeable, and hardly ever makes mistakes. He makes this class so straight-forward it would be up to you if you fail or not.

DO NOT TAKE THIS COURSE WITH THIS PROFESSOR! The first 2-3 chapters took over half the term, and he rushed through the remaining 3 chapters to "fit them in" before the term was over. Doesn't go into indepth explaination. States problem, "this why/how", and moves on. Ask a question and he says he'll go over it w/ you after class, "Can't waste time".

His tests are hard, but he is really available for his students. I liked that he kept checking to make sure everyone was keeping up. It might have been hard, but I learned a lot in his class. He really will make time for you if you need extra help-and that is so important!
