Comment:
Dr. Morgan clearly knows a lot about what he is teaching, but expects all of his students have the same understanding. I will never take this professor again. The questions he puts on his tests are mostly multiple choice, but extremely difficult and some not even discussed in class. Overall, destroyed my love for Biology.

You'll hear more about his life than you will about cell bio. There are review quizzes after every lecture that the lecture didn't cover, so READ THE TEXTBOOK. No study guide for tests with so much material. You won't know where your grade stands until the very end. Biochem majors: take genetics instead.

He is a literal genius. His bio lectures are very long and information-heavy for an intro class, but if you work hard you will get the grade you deserve. Take notes in lecture & read the book, ask him questions after class, and become familiar with his office hours. He is a nice guy and genuinely cares about your grade, but you need to work for it.

Great guy. Beware, Bio111 is a weed-out class... it's meant to be hard so students drop out. Read the textbook, ask questions in class, take great notes. You will be fine in the class if you put in a lot of effort. He's approachable and a very nice man. A little bit intimidating at first, but if you get to know him he's amazing. A true genius!

This is entirely a lab class, there is no lecture. You will spend every class learning Ansbach using molecular techniques, and complete one big project as a class throughout the semester. Its really a participation class. Just show up, try, and take good notes in your lab book! Best class Ive taken here, would do it again in a heartbeat.

Dr Morgan expects a lot of his class, but does so because he cares about his students - he wants to bring the best out of you. He comes off as strict, but is really a softie once you get to know him! Just be ready for lots of quizzes (grade boosters) and lots of stories. Put in the effort for the grade you want.

The name people have given this class, hell bio, is accurate. Morgan does not teach, he tells random stories about his life that do not relate to the topic at hand. His test are impossible, good luck study because what you cover is not what you are tested on. He curves everything because if he didn't everyone would fail. DO NOT TAKE CELL BIO HERE

Dr. Morgan is a well respected professor in my book. He was very dry during lectures which made them boring and hard to stay awake for, but he really was caring when it came to tests. He wasn't the type to reach out and extend his neck so you can pass, you MUST see him at his office hours to understand more but also go over your test.

This is a hard class, but it has added depth to all my other major courses. Dr. Morgan is excellent at explaining hard concepts, and while he can be intimidating, he won't turn you away if you need further clarification or help. There is a quiz every day of class, and the tests are difficult, but if you study hard, you'll be fine.

He doesn't just go off on tangents , he'll tell the same story at least three times. rarely available outside of class. Hard class but not as hard as he makes it.

As a senior looking back, my experience with this professor 5 years ago really deterred me from originally pursuing a Science major. Don't let him ruin the Sciences for you. I took this class over and multiple other Bio,Chem,Anat courses. By far he's the worst. Never available, stood me up for an appnt., and arrogant. #confidentsciencemajor

Dr. Morgan gives examples for EVERYTHING. He is so thorough when it comes to explaining concepts that even a non-science major like myself was able to keep up! He's really a great professor and has taken his course evaluations seriously, as evidenced by the fact of how thorough he is. My most respected professor I've had.

I had him for Cell Bio over the summer and he made Cell Bio fun, even though it's a GE course. It was different over the summer because there was only 6 students and it was over 4 weeks

Only talks about himself. Very annoying. This class was a waste of time because of him. My opinion on the school as a whole probably would have improved if I had not have had him as a professor and mentor.

NEVER TAKE DR. MORGAN!!! You can't understand anything in his class. His tests are ridiculously specific for an intro course. He will never help you. He doesn't return tests to the students so you can't learn from your mistakes. My worst mistake was taking this professor. TAKE ANYONE ELSE!

I had him for lecture and lab. His tests are hard; however, quiz questions come straight from the website, so it balances out. Show up and pay attention, and you will be fine. He knows his stuff. He's actually a nice person if you make the effort to ask questions and participate. He cares but isn't going to waste his time on those who don't.

He does not care if you pass or fail. Is unavailable outside of class. Consistently late. Does not give work back at all including tests & quizzes! Do not take this class with this teacher, there are other options here that are less likely to make you want to drop out.

It is a wonderful class and i learned so much. But it requires ALOT of outside work on your own. Daily quizzes force you to read and actually KNOW the material. In the end, the quizzes helped tremendously as far as making me know the material. Dr.Morgan is not a rude person but he can come off as intimidating or standoffish. But he is still nice.

I absolutely loved this class. But it was tough. Reading at least 60 pages every night, writing a lab report every week, woo. The tests were hard but I learned a lot and loved the material.
