Professor Bandelj truly cares for her students and wants them to succeed. She gives clear instructions, gives extra credit opportunities, and makes her zoom sessions fun/enjoyable. You will definitely get an A if you watch her online mini lectures, show up to her weekly zoom sessions, and complete the minimal work she gives out. Highly reccomend!

Literally one of the most bubbly profs Ive had. 1 exam, 2 small essays and a research paper. She and her TAs made themselves readily assessable incase you need help, either through emails or office hours. Highly recommend for upper div writing - it might be a 3 hour class, but Bandelj makes it not only interesting, but fun and entertaining.

Easy for an upper div writing requirement. You have 2 short 1 pg assignments, a 10 pg paper at the end, and a short exam. She is super helpful and encourages students to come to office hrs if you need any help. She also replies right away to emails if you have questions. She is really enthusiastic and makes a 3 hr lecture engaging.

Very engaging and excellent professor. Uses good examples during lecture and makes a 3 hour class seem not so bad. Various small assignments: two short essays, research paper proposal and methods draft. One "final" during week 8. Research paper weighted most in overall grade. Helpful feedback from Prof and TA. Highly recommended! I enjoyed class.

This professor is AMAZING! She makes a 3-hour, once a week class pretty enjoyable. There are assignments due almost every week but she is an easy grader. There is one exam and one research paper. Overall a very good class to take to fulfill the upper-div writing requirement.

Pretty easy teacher. She gave quizzes but they were really easy, mostly freebees. Does activities to get you interested. Gave many extra credit too. The only bad thing are her tests because they're tricky and ask specific stuff on the readings. There are a lot of readings, but just go to discussion. Overall, interesting and easy class & instructor

her tests aren't that straight forward as you would hope because you have to use HER definition of what something is, and often the questions are ambigious. it was very nice of her to give the extra credit at the end of the quarter though. workload is not hard either.

She's a pretty good professor. Lectures were pretty boring but not terrible. Her English was a bit awkward at times, and this caused some confusion on the exams. Overall, she wasn't bad and the class was fairly easy.

The readings are more interesting than lecture. Tests are based mostly on her lecture slides and specific questions from the reading. I read and went to all lectures and got a B.

the only people who think her tests are hard either didnt do the readings or didnt study well enough. her lectures are very interesting if you are interested in sociology, and there is very little work in this class, except a fair amount of reading. i would take her again if i could.
