I had Prof. Sylvia for the Poli Sci writing class. A lot of what he told us was contradictory to what I had learned in other classes about writing styles, etc. But overall, the class was average not one of the best or the worst.

Funny teacher, a great person in general, kept class interesting and I believe made students consider pursuing a Master in Public Administration. Extremely knowledge on all things city, state and federal government. An encyclopedia of knowledge concering government.

Class was extreamly boring. He gave us two assignments and was the hardest grader I have ever expierenced considering what he talked about in class. He got sidetracked easily, and his notes are direct printouts of the gov. sites. Kiss ass for a good grade

Go to class, take notes, and you will be fine. I hardly read from the text and I got a B+. He makes alot of jokes, and I enjoyed his comedy--much better than being lectured for a freakin' hour and a half. Easy class, but you'll learn a lot

A horrible teacher!! if you get on his bad side then consider urself with having a C or lower. Has a few favorite students that get good grades. I hated this teacher, worse teacher at SJSU. I strongly recommend taking another teacher..its not worth it!

Lame jokes, uses clas for a standup routine about Latinos rather then a class that is relevant to Latin American countries. A nice guy, but is the prime example of a teacher who consistently goes off on a tangent with overused jokes.

A little weird, but class is damned entertaining. Does not ask a lot of students, only grades are the midterm, the final, a joke of a presentation, and a paper. Minimal effort for a good grade, just study for tests.
