At first you may think he is disorganized but when you get to know him he makes the work easy. I also took him for Governmental Accounting and the concepts ended up being very straightforward.

Comment:

Hardest course I have ever had to take. Richman does go over the subject very well. He gets confused a lot during his examples. His test are over an 5-6 chapter or cost accounting material, he does not curve, he does not let you bring anything to the tests.

lots of richmans reviews are bad which is understandable given the amount of students that do poorly in his class however if you're willing to put in work outside of class you will pass with a very high grade. By putting 4 additional hours a week I have been able to score over 100% on each test. The people complaining play on their phones all class

Comment:

He's really smart and kind. I like him. All the weekly presentations help me practice public speaking and I feel less nervous. I'm getting 90's on the quuzes and exams. It's a lot of work, but repetitive. He's very approachable.

Comment:

This Governmental Accounting class is too overwhelming. Expect to be in 3 different chapters every week. 1 for a weekly presentation (that's right, weekly presentations), 1 for a weekly quiz and 1 for online homework with unpredictable due dates. It's the most confusing. chaotic and stressful class I have ever taken.

This class is EMBARRASSINGLY bad. Professor doesn't know the material. The homework is posted sporadically so you have to check connect everyday. Quizzes are 80 questions every week. He doesn't lecture, instead students are assigned HIS slides to present and then you have to print them and give them back to him for a grade. You will learn nothing.

Expect to teach yourself, he does not lecture. Just gives a quick intro to the chapter then hands out worksheets to do and calls on you to show your work on the board or to answer the problem. He cant explain things well so its best to ask your peers for help. Doesnt curve test or give extra credit.

I am glad to have taken this class with Dr. Richman. He wants you to come into class with questions and he will do the problems with you step by step. It's a hard topic so you do have to study a lot outside of class. Even he knows it's hard, so he'll bump up your final grade by 10% if your test average is 67% or higher. Would take with him again!

70 question quizzes every wk where he expects you to memorize the answer. Wkly presentations - not hard but seemed to be a waste of time 1 midterm & 1 final. 100-150 questions This is a self taught class. I found myself trying to memorize all the answers spending hours each day that i didn't have. I probably failed but grades aren't out yet

I would not recommend taking this class with him! You will be teaching yourself the material. He LOVES homework and his grade scale weighs tests heavily. He told us in class that he is glad he is not taking the course from himself. In class you will be doing practice exercises which he helps with the "easy ones". He loves accounting jokes as well

Expect to memorize everything for the test. He does not teach much, but that's accounting for you. The class material is not very engaging and liking accounting already will be a bonus. The textbook is ridiculously expensive. If you can, take this class at a community college.

Come prepared because he does not know how to teach, he expects you to know the material before hand and cannot explain concepts in a way for his students to understand. Very sweet guy, but should not be a teacher. Do many practice problems which does help, but other than that very difficult teacher.

I took this class this past spring and it was horrible. If youre good at memorizing its an easy A. Expect presentations every week and him calling on you to answers questions. Ultimately an extremely boring class it was a struggle to show up to class.

The students teach the class 100%. He does/knows absolutely nothing and showed up late for every single class. The material isn't hard he just overloads you. You have to create a powerpoint presentation and present to the class and memorize over 70 questions and answers every week. He doesn't grade, create his own tests, nor lecture. He's lazy!

One of the worst classes I've ever taken. He's an easy ish grader but the material is difficult and he's a terrible teacher. He's nice sort of but I personally don't know if he even likes teaching or not :. I've had friends who have loved him, I guess his style just didn't resonate with me.

Lacks organization and isn't capable of teaching actual content. Emails test banks and then quizzes you on your rote memorization skills. YOU WILL LEARN NOTHING. If you have a family emergency or other issue come up he will not work with you and will suggest you dropout. His entire goal is to create the least amount of work for himself.

Vince is a funny/laid back guy but gives you the answer without explaining how he got it. STUDY THE PRACTICE TESTS HE GIVES YOU! Those are very similar to the tests. I thankfully passed but couldn't have done it without the tutoring center. If you want to pass this class I highly recommend getting a tutor. Vince does not explain concepts clearly.

His class is so easy! The entire class time is spent doing practice problems. All the hw's are through the online "connect" program. It's impossible to fail with Richman. He gives you unlimited amount of tries on hw's and the exam questions are given to you prior to taking the exam (practice tests). Just get good at memorizing and you'll pass.

Pointless class. If you are good at memorizing answers you will do well. Dont expect him to teach you anything. All his quizzes and exams come from the test bank which he emails out. Absolutely pointless sitting in this class for two hours. You get nothing out of it.
