Comment:

Do the work and read the material and you should be fine. Prof. Schulte provided the quizzes and homework which would prep you for the tests. Even drops 3 lowest quiz grades and offered extra credit. Discussions and homework were graded fairly. Not as bad as other reviews are saying. Its a science course! It takes work!

I am so agree with comments below. IT was my first class that I failed. Never in my life, all A's and B's. DO NOT TAKE HER. I had other science classes, but Geology just was not for me. There are many better teachers then her.

I honesly did not learn much, because she is more interested in failing students than passing. She loves trashing student when it comes to tests and assigments. This is the first class I faild in my life and I studied hard for every test.

I had few bad teachers but nothing comes even near this one. She gives a study guid but guess what ..nothing on the test. Tests are very hard. and she does not care if you come to class but you only have 3 test and thats it. She is also very boring, taking her class was the biggest mistake ever.

Loved her- the kindest lady you will ever meet- a true southern woman. She can be a little boring and tends to talk on and on- but you just can't get mad at her bc she is so sweet! She tries to be funny too!! Just study and she will help you out.

Ms. Schutte is awesome. Bless her heart, she tries to make boring material relate to students through real life examples and humor. If you don't study, you will fail. She gives study guides, and tells you exactly what textbook pages to read. Show up, take good notes, study, you will do fine. Ask questions, she is helpful.

She's sucks! DO NOT take her. She grade the papers really hard. If you are taking ENV 1401 with her, don't bother to do the discussion board. she said we can get up to 22 point extra credit from discussion board, but she did count discussion board writings as an extra point at the end of the semester.

Comment:

Ms. Schutte reminded me of a grandma. Sweet, and loving. She understood what was going on in the lives of her students and graded accordingly. Kinda repetitive, but still got the point across. I learned about DNA, RNA, genetics and Cells.

She is very funny, but bring a coke, cause you will be asleep before you know it. If you don't know or have interest in plant biology, this is not the class for you. You must, study. Nothing is simple with this lady. Don't take her if you won't have time to teach yourself the material.

I took Mrs. Schutte’s class in Spring 2005 and I found her to be great! Yes she made the work challenging, but that’s why we are in college. She is always helpful. She gives you a study sheet but nothing on the study sheet going to be on the text, maybe a few questions but not many. My advice to you is use another teacher notes. I thought she was a great teacher! Her tests are detailed, but she gives you EVERY answer if you come to class and pay attention! She even gives you review sheets before the tests and everything you need is on those! Plus, she's really sweet and makes quirky jokes in class to keep you awake.

She is not organized. You have to basically read the book and teach yourself and be prepared for anything on the test. You don;t really know what might come up on her test even if she has a review sheet. Did not help. Personal sercret. Go to Mr. Stones website and print out his work for her clas
