Joy does not teach. Shell go through a 50-slide powerpoint and address 2 things, while other things she skipped are still on the exam. She thinks watching a movie about aging actually teaches us about aging, but it doesnt and half the class is always lost. Also, dont miss class or youll miss her talking about EXACT test questions. its stupid.

I always looked forward to this class! It's a great social science gen ed, and Dr. Fea makes every class interactive and interesting. She is always in a great mood and is person and laid back. There's always a quiz on the reading, but if you read they're easy (she's just trying to keep you honest in doing your homework). Definitely a 10/10!!

Comment:

If you have her at 8 in the morning, know there will be food!. She cares deeply about students and is flexible. Don't get too comfortable because she will stick to policy and due dates firmly, however. Make sure to do your reading, weekly quizzes will make or break you and are based on the reading. Amazing professor.

Joy was by far the nicest most amazing professor I have ever had. In fact, I am taking her again this semester. She is funny and kind, honest and genuine and she truthfully cares about you and everything that is going on in your life. Lectures can sometimes feel long but just ask her a question, that will give you a 20 minute tangent. She is great

Joy Fea is a wonderful professor. I am one to daydream in class and I can assure you there was none of that happening. Her lectures are interesting and she is a very funny person. When she does ask a question, make sure you volunteer because she remembers faces. Fea is a professor that truly cares about each and every student.

Comment:

Absolutely loved her! Fea really cares about the students and helping them succeed. You have to get to know her and thats when you will begin to see that she really cares about each and everyone of her students, and really wants them to succeed. Material and lectures can be fairly dry, but theres nothing she can do about that.

Yes, there was a lot of work, mostly in the form of reading, but the work itself was not too difficult. If you put in the time and effort to read the chapters and take good notes, it will be fine. Professor Fea is really nice and she takes time to get to know each student.

Overall she wasn't a bad prof, and I enjoyed her class (that may be, however, merely because I absolutely love psychology). This class was one of the hardest and most demanding classes I have taken, I had to put in several hours of work every single day of the semester to pass.

This class was not worth it to take with this prof. Other friends of mine had a much better time with another professor. Overall, the class wasn't too hard, but she wasn't clear in what she meant and when asked to clarify it was as if she didn't understand the students question.

I read the good reviews of this prof, but was mistaken. I would highly recommend attempting to enroll in this class with another professor. The main issue was an extreme length of time in between online correspondence, but in addition to this, she delivered lengthy, unclear lectures.

This class was much more difficult than I anticipated, and I typically find classes easy and get high grades in. The professor didn't respond to emails in a timely manner, nor did she clearly deliver the material. I regret taking this class with this prof.

Professor Fea truly is an amazing teacher. She makes class interesting and tells stores all the time. We learn the info and enjoy her demonstrations all at the same time. Take this class with Fea! It is a difficult course but I would say well worth it. The readings are extensive. So be prepared to read the textbook and take notes on lectures.

Joy Fea is seriously a joy. She is AWESOME for psych 101. I also took her for Life Span... she was still awesome but the way she taught that course was difficult (take with someone else honestly) But for any other class, Fea is your professor. She is so chill and she does open note book test/quizzes. Just awesome.

I love Mrs. Fea. She is the sweetest professor. If you're a psych major, I strongly recommend taking her class, you learn a LOT. I learned SO much from taking her class that I still use, she has a really great way of making applicable examples. She does make you work though, but for a psych major it is so worth it, you'll remember it forever.

She assigns alot of reading and her tests require alot of studying. However she lets you take notes on whatever you want and bring them to use on her quizes. She is really an exceptional lady who cares alot about her students and give a decent amount of extra credit. Take the class just ot have her and you wont regret it.

Prof Fea is very nice and cares about her students. Has alot of examples to make sure everyone understands. Her class basically is you read the chapter(s) for the class period she assigns it and you take a quiz on it. You can use notes on the quiz. Mid term and final with some papers.A few projects,lots of extra credit.Nice work load for the class
