I had him a year ago, He was very good, I feel sad reading those harsh comments about him. Do not let them give the wrong image of him. He is very smart, knows spanish literature "al reves y al derecho". He is a good person, respectful and his classes are fun. I recommend him for any class.

Professor Alonso is a rally good professor. Attending his class really was different because he allows for a relaxed environment where we can simply learn Spanish through practice (the best way) without petty stresses that usually come with other classes (such as too much homework).

excellent professor I have learned a lot in his class and he has inspired me to pursue my Ph.D. in Contemporary Spanish Lit. The only negative is that he is a bit tardy on returning work. But over all he is one of my favorite professors

Don't know what strings he pulled but this guy doesn't even speak english let alone castillian. NO ONE, and I mean NO ONE can understand him! We simply read the trillion texts assigned and hope for the best! Recently tenured, and worst-assigned a required class for grads! Life is Hell..God help us!
