Comment:
Alex Messinger should not be a professor at Philadelphia University or any other school. The man has tenure and is respected, therefore they keep him around. Other than that he is an awful teacher. He is very unclear and hard to talk to and has unrealistic expectations and an awful sense of design style. Someone needs to speak up to the school! NOW

Comment:
Extremely rude to his students, he claims he wants to help you grow as a designer, but he constantly puts down what you do and does not stand up for you. He spends too much time on floor plans, you don't have time to actually do the rest of the project. Also, when looking at project,if he's tired he says "I don't care, I don't wanna go over that.."

He is awful. You can't understand him, he's inconsistent, go goes on random tangents all the time, he is straight up rude to students, and makes you redo drawing 5 billion times for irrelevant things and then still tell you its wrong anyway. Do not take him, you will regret it.

Has the best of intentions, but should spend the rest of his career 'inventing' things outside of the classroom. Not consistent, ever. Tells you to redesign your project and in the next class wonders why you changed a thing. Totally not helpful in defen

Although I agree with most of the comments listed, I do believe he is a very good teacher. He knows what he is talking about and wants all his students to succeed. During your crits, he will be the first one to come to your defense.

Comment:
He genuinely cares about students, but after he gets done trying to relate his point about ur project to one of his revolutionary designs, u're left dazed and confused. Interupts u, assumes what u're going 2 say, doesn't listen well with others
