This class was so hard as a 2.5 hour night class twice a week. Dr. Costantini is funny, encouraging and patient. He really tries to make learning Italian fun and caters to the needs of the class. Be prepared to speak a lot and do a ton of homework.

Professor Costantini is a great professor and you could tell he enjoys the subject. At first, you can get lost because of the many materials you have to read and how it feels like it's all over the place but it's not that difficult since he can really help you. You would have to read one book and then another about short stories. Recommend!

Prof. Costantini is an excellent professor and this class was very interesting. Reading is pretty much mandatory (it IS technically a lit class) if you want to do well on the exams, but so long as you do that and take notes in class, you'll do fine. Costantini is always willing to help if you reach out to him.

Il Italiano é la vita, il Italiano é l'amore. This professor was my favorite this semester. He really knows his stuff, sometimes he may confuse you or his writing on the board may be too small, but it's okay, the class finds it humorous. Study for quizzes and test and you'll be fine.

This was a fascinating class and Dr. Costantini truly knows Italian culture and history. I marveled at how he kept his cool when so many students came to class (when they bothered to come) unprepared. He went out of his way to speak to each one individually and offer any help they might require. Again, I only wish that he taught more classes.

One of the best professors I have had in my academic career. I was in two of his classes this semester, Italian 102 and Modern Italian Culture. He truly knows his subject and is more than happy to assist anyone who bothers to ask. His classes were a joy to attend due to his knowledge and wit. I wish I could take more classes with Dr. Costantini.

Love this guy. Really into everything Italian, wants the students to feel that connection - or at least the appreciation for the history and works. Draws mostly from the small readings, likes people who participate, and a really good man to talk to during office hours (for any reason). Definitely recommend him.

Professor Costantini's class was honestly the most enjoyable one I ever took at CSUN in the 5 years I was there. Not only is he entertaining and friendly, but he incorporates personal experiences as well as true passion for Italian culture and language in his classes. What better way of learning Italian than from a TRUE ITALIANO!Bravissimo!Take it!

I took Italian in high school so I knew the basics, and I'm glad because this professor is not good at explaining. He makes you participate and you have to attend class or you will loose points. He also gives a lot of hwk but does not check it. Overall he was alright.

Very funny professor. Do not take if you want easy credits though. If you are barely interested in italian dont take it because you will probably do badly. He grades really easy but you can still do bad. He is always going to call on you during every class so if you dont like answering questions dont take this class. Great professor sucky class.
