Man I loved this class more than any other science course (maybe ANY course) I've taken at DePaul. I want to be him. Cool guy, amazing lectures.

Comment:

His format of his class is very clear(1 page papers)and he is really nice and sweet! Even brought his dogs to class one night. Kept the class very engaged for the 3 hours. However, his quizzes are really hard and don't have much to do with the lecture(I believe everyone is the class always failed them) but he curved at the end of the quarter!

He is a really cool professor and really laid back! I would totally recommend him for Explore Chicago. He brings in coffee and food all the time! I learned a lot from this class and didn't know a thing about plants

He's an awesome professor and really makes you think about biology relative to our current society. Quizzes are really hard, the whole class would have anxiety about the quizzes before class. I'm not a science person nor a science major so it was kind of hard. If you are a science major tho, take him.

Entry level class-300 level quizzes. Quizzes are practically impossible no matter how much you prepare for them. He's an awesome guy and is a fair grader when it comes to group presentations, Bio in the news, and bio essays. The workload is fair-the quizzes are just really hard. If you're naturally good at science this class will be a breeze.

Dr. Ippolio was an incredible professor. He knows everything about ecology and plants, and I took away many concepts about plants that I wouldn't have learned. Attendance is mandatory since the trips taken are for participation, so go to class. Overall he is great and I am taking his focal point in the spring. Take him and the class, he is awesome!

Dr. Ippolito was an incredible professor. He is really funny and he knows everything about ecology and plants. I took away lot of facts about plants that I did not think I would learn in the class. I enjoyed his class so much that I am taking his focal point in the spring. Overall, awesome professor and I would highly recommend the class!

took him for a summer course which was pretty laid back & easy overall. long drawn out lectures that were sometimes off topic but entertaining even to a non-major. silly pointless labs. hardcore atheist who talks TOO MUCH about how religion can be disproved with science, which was pretty offensive but it's an easy class so it was worth it i guess

Had him for a few classes. He is a hit or miss. Although you will always enjoy his class he isn't the most clear (particularly in ecology.) Overall decent. Better than some DePaul Biology professors.

He is hard to get a hold of. Is not very clear about what he wants. The tests are very hard. The textbook is not used much at all. His powerpoints are very nice and clear and he keeps them online for students to review again. Study and take notes!

He's a nice guy who rly likes bio. You'll either really like him or really dislike him. I thought he was a cool guy, but his pwrpts were hard to take notes from. You can easily get an A in the class, even if you don't do great on the quizzes (there are 5, no tests). He doesn't take attendance, but you wont do well on the quizzes w/o going to class.

If you have him for explore do whatever you can to get out! Teaches the class like its a biology plant 101 class. Seriously has nothing to do with discovering chicago! Has 20 question quizzes every other week, and take notes the rest of the time. He's nice though but his quizzes are ridiculous!

I had him for explore: plants and society. he's a really nice guy and cares about students grades and if they do well. he's VERY interested in this subject, brings in lots of food to "help" students understand the topics. field trips are awesome. he's also not hard on the eyes :) i recommend taking him

Loved Anthony! He makes class fun and I was engaged the second he opened his mouth, in a subject I would have never even looked twice at! Easy homework, a few quizzes. He is very passionate and I would love to take him again!
