Does not respect students. She wastes a lot of time at rehearsals and expects that students have no other academic commitments (she refused to let some actors take midterms because they conflicted with rehearsal). She does not communicate clearly and gets upset when people do not understand her or do exactly what she wants. Avoid working with her.

Comment:

She was unprofessional when she graded papers or just conversing with students about assignments. Most of the activities that were assigned in class were useless to developing my acting skills. We barely used the two books i had to buy for the acting class. We barely incorporated the skills we did learn with scenes. Over all i hated the class.

she helped us understand the sometimes difficult reading, and i did appreciate her class. not the greatest theatre professor in the world, but not nearly as horrid as people think.

Betty is an exceptionally self centered woman, personally I am surprised she ever connived her way into tenure. I wish she had not, we really need someone a little less rude and more competent in her position.
