You need to sit in the front row or you won't be able to hear her. She gets really offended by cell phones. She once went off on our class because she felt our entire generation is anti-social. She is ridiculously easy, but she isn't exactly the kind of person I would hang out with in my free time.

This class was SO easy. Just take notes and go to class. She is terrible at lecturing, she keeps her eyes closed the whole time so it's really distracting. Also, don't get on her bad side(miss class), she accused me of lying when I was snowed in and was extremely rude and insulting through emails. Overall, easy class just bad teacher.

Horrible Teacher! Does not care about her students and is rude! Take this course with a different teacher if you have the opportunity. Class consist of tests and participation points so you have to go. She lectures the entire time and gives her opinion way too much and then quizes over things that she doesnt talk about.

SO Sweet! Easy class as long as you pay attention and take notes. Very knowledgeable about the subject and has good reviews. She takes a participation grade but towards the end of the year she doesnt check to see if everyone is there. If you go to the review the class before the test you'll do fine on the tests. Excellent teacher!!

If you have had High School History this is EASY!!! Her tests are not bad. The easy ones she graded alittle bit harder, but the quizes are easy. She reviews the day before the test. Don't really get homework at all. Just you have to write one question about the material that is going to be on the test and turn it in on the review day. EASY A!!

Dr. Stepenoff is a doll. Although she squints quite a bit, she is very down to earth and entertaining. I'm not a fan of history, but she does keep the class interesting. There are 5 quizzes (a mix of objective and essay) which are easy if you take good notes and study. The final is comphrensive, but the questions come from the quizzes. A good class

If you remember anything from high school history, her classes are easy. The class was extremely easy unless you hated history. I never read one of the reading assignments or studied for more than 20min and made an easy A.

Dr. Steppenoff is very knowledgable concerning research techniques and other aspects of doing local history. She is more than willing to help her students find what they're looking for, even if it takes a little digging sometimes on both parts. I would recommend this course for anyone interested in doing local history.

Dr. Steppenof is a unique teacher. She doesnt look at her students when talking. Her objection quizzes are sort of hard, but if you take notes and study, youll do alright. I hate history, but i got out of the class with a B. Go to her bonus oppurtunites, theyre worth 10 points. Shes very helpfull and sweet!

I love her! I definitely agree with the majority of these reviews. Go to the extra credit events because they are worth 10 points and there are only 400 points total the whole semester. Half of those points are the final (which is directly taken from the 6 quizzes given) and participation points ie: ask her a question in class the day of a quiz.

She is a very easy teacher, if you know your facts from high school dont bother renting the textbook, or buy that book i didnt read either one and got an A in her class. just show up and take notes. The only negative that is when she lectures she looks like shes in pain, but its kinda of funny. but shes all good in the grade book!
