She has got to be the most caring professor on campus. Her teaching doesn't just stay inside the classroom. Her lessons can be brought into your own life. She is caring about her students and passionate about her work. Her class is fun and I was satisfied with her.

I like her coming to the class well prepared with what and how to proceed her lecture hours. But I think it is NOT her position to LABEL the students: first asking those who had been BEATEN by their parent(s) during childhood to raise their hands up, then followed by saying that according to some research these students would mostly be antisocial.

I really enjoyed her class. I've learned so much through her lectures, and her lectures don't even feel like lectures sometimes. It feels like we are just talking casually, like having a fun conversation. If you are not a great public speaker, she will offer up tips, and you will get the hang of speaking in front of your class.

A great professor! She has great activities and exercises for us in class, as well as ones for us to practice in our daily lives. Her teachings definitely make you think about how you treat others. Each class was highly important and she truly cares about her students. I recommend this class to everyone!!

I am so glad that she was my first communications teacher. She makes you feel super comfortable on the first day of class and has great exercises. There was never a class that was unimportant and she is the sweetest person i have ever met!

Ms. Kuriyama is an amazing professor! I loved her class. She really cares about her students. She's so easy to talk to, and you can tell her pretty much anything. The skills you learn in her class are ones that you will probably use for the rest of your life. I definitely recommend taking her class!

Wonderful teacher! Very inspirational! Everything she teaches, you will use forever with anything you do. She makes you realize a lot things in life that can be improved like your confidence, the way you think and relationships. It is hard to meet someone like Ms Kuriyama.

I recommend you take her class! She has passion in what she does and you could really understand what she is trying to get at. It is always nice to have a teacher that actually knows what she or he is talking about. Even 50 minute classes can get boring but for her classes, it's a different story!

GREAT PROFESSOR. Really wants to get on a personal level with her students. Go to class, especially when she tells you too. She will give you extra points in the end if you've been there for most of the classes. Speeches weren't too hard and if you ever need anything she is more than willing to help. She always wears cute shoes :)

Very easy. Just show up to class. Open discussions. Attendance mandatory and not flexible. Hardly uses text, but gives some tests on it, so you'll need it. Extremely encouraging of open discussion with class. Lots of personal sharing. Speeches and papers, but nothing involving heavy research. Easy A if you show up everyday.

I LOVED HER CLASS! she not only helped me have better communication skills but also gave me another perspective on realtionships.. if you have the option to, sign up early and take her class!! shes awesome! i NEVER wanted to miss that class or sleep, not because i couldnt, but because i really didnt want to. it was very interesting and most memerable class this whole college experience..she may grade a little tough but in the end its all worth it.
