Comment:
Professor Waldman's class is really not difficult. Not an easy A, but not hard at all. Show up to all of the lectures and do the case write-ups to keep up. He is pretty condescending and rude. Sometimes he would just completely shut down my classmate's comments. Overall, his class isn't too bad. Wish he had a better attitude.

Waldman is a great teacher. His class wasn't difficult as long as you actually do the work. A big portion of the class is based on group work but the group work isn't difficult. Lectures are required and you do need to read the textbook but the class is pretty interesting and it isn't too much reading. It's similar to other MGT courses.

He is the worst professor I have ever met. The study materials and exam questions he gave were quite different. I don't understand why he had to make the exam questions so complicated. I regret that I should take this class one semester later. If you have to take this class, plz choose any teacher except DAVID WALDMAN.

Hes a smart man. Knows what he is talking about. Group heavy. His tests feel like vocabulary exams. Youll spend more time trying to determine what the hell hes asking than answering it.

good professor - really cares about what he teaches - 5 group papers and 1 group project throughout the class - need to be in class or you'll miss a lot.

He's super knowledgeable in his field and many professors respect him. This is a group heavy class so be prepared to do a lot of outside class work. He gives timely feedback and really tries to get to know the students. Make sure you read the book and watch the lectures online!

Idk how he got a job teaching this class. It seems like he is a terrible leader. He wants you to talk in class, but he will interrupt you and then try to summarize what you said and it's nothing you even said. He teaches about emotional intelligence and I question his. Also, his groups are too large. Our group could never find a time to meet.

Pretty tough grader in my opinion. Talks about good leadership practices but rarely follows them himself. Can come across as condescending sometimes which is something I despise. Wants to have a class discussion but won't let you finish your thought. study guides are vague.

Comment:
Way too much writing for such abstract, ambiguous topic as leadership is. Lectures are long, boring and torturing. I found the class to be too theoretically based rather than applicative to real life. Too many unnecessary videos. The class could be more entertaining by focusing the material to more interesting examples. Choose some other professor!

Guy kinda beats to his own drum. tries to make it fun, but really fails to capture attention and involve the students. also shows a lot of videos, which i guess can be a good or bad thing. hard grader and gets on random tangents. To explain him, i think in high school, he was the one who got picked on and now he gets off on knowing more than you :/

I think David Waldman may be to deep for some students. That might account for some so,so reviews. I found him to be very helpful if you take the time to get to know him. He opens up and is good about sharing advice and ideas.

Comment:
David does not practice what he preaches. He certainly lacks leadership skills and as far as emotional intelligence, I am still wondering if he even knows what that really means. It is not impossible to get an A in his class but be aware that he is a tough grader. I don't think he cares about his students at all.

Comment:
The case studies and in class exercises were very interesting and applicable to real world situations. Dr. Waldman always kept the material interesting and the papers and tests were only difficult if you did not study. Although he seems a bit self centered if you get to know him he is easy to get along with and very helpful.

Teachings are not consistent with the business and legal worlds. Do not plan on applying anything from this class to business or you will be sued for discrimination. Very gender biased teacher.

He seemed to be too opinionated and wasn't teaching objectively. He was also very biased in terms of grading. For teaching a cultural sensitivity class, not very sensitive at all!!!!
