A pretty standard online class. I've never had to reach out to Prof Howie, so I'll just comment on how he runs his class. Each week's module includes 2-3 quizzes, 1-2 discussions with 2 responses for each, 1-2 assignments, and 1-2 exams. A lot at times but manageable. The 10 page paper accounts for over 17% of grade which seems unnecessary for econ

There's no excuse to fail his class. I took both his 201 and 202 class while taking 19 credits altogether. It's a week until the end of the course, and it looks like I'll be getting an A in both classes, along with an A in every other class I took this semester. The man takes his field of study seriously. If you dont, he wont pass you.

Very difficult professor. DON'T RECOMMEND TO TAKE ECON ONLINE. Exam every 2 modules & quizzes in each. Material doesn't match at all. Research paper, little/no assistance to walk you through it. With exams, only 1 ques at a time & can't go back. Worst online class ever. Have to purchase a PRICEY access code only to have 6 assign due entire semester

8 exams, 16 quizzes, 1 ten page paper, 14 discussion posts, 28 discussion responses, and 10 homework assignments. He grades unfairly and inconsistently. He doesnt follow the rubrics and a lot of the exam and quiz materials was never taught. All around a rude professor that could care less about his students success.

Does not appear to care about his students. His test were made to where if taken online, you were unable to go back and change your answer later. Either would not reply to my emails, or was disrespectful with his wordage IF he even replied. I would recommend taking a different "professor," if that's what we're calling him, if possible.

He's an unreasonably tough grader. In my essay project, I followed all the requirements to a T, and he deducted like 20+ points over nothing. Also, a lot of his assignments ask vague questions and he will doc tons of points off if you're not extremely specific. Also, the tests and quizzes only partially match up with the reading material.

I dont even know where to start. This professor is extremely disrespectful and does not care about students. Will take forever to reply to emails and sometimes not reply at all. His tests and quizzes are nothing like the reading or assignments. I would not recommend this professor to anyone as he is not professional whatsoever. Very disgusted.

There's absolutely no need for him to be as specific and criticizing as he is. Submitted an assignment and forgot to upload it on MS Word and he didn't give me credit on it. There is no physical book, only an expensive access code to online content. Will never take him again. If you have another choice in professors, take them!

The purpose of paying to get an education is to learn, this person does not care. In additional to the text book you have to purchase another code for $90 that you use once. Exams are not realistic, its a waist of time and money.

Get ready to work hard. He is a strict professor. But honestly that is how it is going to be in university. Amazing notes and lecture delivery. Always gives reviews before exams. Explains everything nicely and clears and doubts you have.

The online class wasn't difficult as long as you completed all the work. My biggest complaint was I was never able to review what I received wrong on a quiz. When I went to take the exam, every two chapters, I wouldn't have a clear idea on what to study or focus on because he doesn't allow you to view what you got wrong. This frustrated me.

This teacher is unnecessarily rigid and completely unwilling to work his students. Most other school-craft teachers if anything comes up or you make a mistake like accidentally forgetting to upload a document they are more than willing to work with you, Cedric not so. This teacher is not willing to work with you at all. Would never recommend.

Really sweet and actually cares about student success. I took Econ 201 on campus with Howie and he made sure to get to know the students and help them get good grades if they put forth the effort. Lots of tests but he helps you get ready and each test only covered 2 chapters. Always ask questions if you need, he likes to see people ask questions.

Get the textbook that is recommended because without it you won't do well! There is a fair about of work, but if you stay on top of the schedule he clearly lays out you'll be fine! Each week there's 2 quizzes & a discussion board with a test every other week. A large course paper, but he guides you along the way. Was helpful & clear with questions.

Didn't care for him at first but he grew on me over the semester. Pay attention to the notes and read the chapter. There are a lot of assignments. This class is hard, requires a lot of studying to pass and his tests are very difficult. Our class couldn't pass the tests so he switched to summaries. But willing to answer any questions you may have.
