GREAT TEACHER!!!! HE REALLY LOVES HISTORY AND WILL MAKE U LOVE HISTORY. I TOOK HIM FOR 1 & 2 got A's on both classes. 4 very easy test for notes and 1 research paper easy grade (he wont even read it some time). FUN CLASS! one of the best teacher ever san jac had!!!!!!

He's one of those professors that will change your life. I will truly miss him as he's not going to return to San Jac. His lectures were so moving, and often I had goosebumps when he had finished speaking. He was definitely one of the nicest people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting.

Mr. Lawhon was the Best teacher I have ever had. It was all about the book he actually got us involved and was really down to earth. He actually got me interested in politics and history. Too bad he's leaving :(

This teacher was the best. I don't even like history. I took him for both history classes and wish i could still take him. he's so funny and loves when you bring him food. you have 4 test which are really easy and one article paper which he grades easy. you have to take him!!

Take this prof! He gives you all the terms on the test. His lectures are a mixture of stories and exam notes. He doesn't give extra credit, you will not need it. He genuinely cares about each and everyone of his students. I made and A and didn't study more than an hour for each exam.

i didnt have him for very long but he is an extremely funny guy!! you can tell he really loves teaching history. i didnt get to stay in his class, BUT i heard he is definitely not easy. if you want someone super easy, take malavis!!

excellent teacher.... 3 tests 50 questions with definitions taken straight from notes... if u study u will make an easy A.. guy is funny "whats in the news" he is smart and knows his stuff... u should go to class to get his notes for tests... you also have a paper due but he gives A's on it like nothing... keeps u interested and is very funny

Best professor to take. He really has a passion for what he does. He helps you understand the material and cares about his sudents learning history. He makes the class fun and is really witty. His class is really easy and you still learn the material. Just as long as you pay attention and take good notes, you will get an A. Anyone that fails his class should not be in college. His class is impossible to fail.

He loves history and makes the class interesting. The tests are easy, and in the lectures he tells you what you need to know (also with the syllabus, he gives all the words and terms in lists for the tests). I loved his class, and he's so nice. If you sit in the front, he will pick on you.

I took this course several summers ago MW 5-10pm. We never left after 9, and we took a minimum of 1.5 hours worth of breaks/going home early. Made the class enjoyable by bringing more discussions into the lecture, not just a lecture. The vocabulary list he gives is the test. He tells you what to write down for the exam. Take this professor!

I've already recieved my undergrad but I wanted to come back and say Lawhon was my absolute favorite teacher, and I HATE HISTORY!!! I took him for I and II, and if I could I would go back and take them all over again. Show up for class, take good notes, provides a list of keywords = test questions. Test straight from lecture. AWESOME TEACHER!!!
