Prof Stoner has a unique method of teaching and I ended up learning more management skills than I thought once I stood back and looked at the class from a different perspective. No textbook, and don't expect to come out knowing definitions of management. You learn how to work in teams. LOTS of homework - 6-8 hrs a week minimum.

Really vague and unfocused. Very easy grader but not really worth it to sit through the class. Weekly papers on nothing, a lot of wasted time.

I would like to disagree with the last two posts. I would highly recommend this class with Stoner. This teacher takes a different angle than other teachers at this school, which is what makes this class unique and a must take. He taught management skills through the team method which will exponentially pay off dividends in the future.

Without question, the worst class at Fordham to date. Useless assignments (and many of them). Outdated material (some okay, most before Y2000) and the prof delivers politicized tripe as a "lecture." This class is an utter waste and at the end, you just wonder what you could have done with that $3500 you'll never see again.

This was the most disorganized and most time-consuming course I have ever taken. The professor does not understand ow to assign work to part time students. He pushes his own agenda and we're all his guinea pigs. What could've been the most useful and important class at GBA quickly became the most useless waste of time. Too much work. Do not take.

Global Sustainability (Climate Change) was a pretty cool class - interesting topic and very interactive (each class started with a conversations about questions we had from the reading) - but there was a decent amt of work too (50-60 pgs of reading each week, weekly essays, and two group presentations). Overall good class to take..

He is ALL over the place and the class time is semi-useless. He makes you do random activities & it's like the ice-breaker @ a conference every week. I was hoping for upper level mgmt case studies and instead got random, old, irrelevant stuff and you can't get a straight answer from him. He does pick great text that have proven applicable.

Sometimes incomprehsible. Don't know where he's going from week to week. Does a lot of philosophizing on life. He seems to have fun. I sort of felt it was a waste of time.

Great class, but do not take if you're part time and taking more than 2 classes. The workload is obnoxious. 100 pages of reading every week, give or take, with weekly assignments. If you can dedicate massive amounts of time outside of class, then this is for you. If not, take another professor. Midterm 10%, Final 25%, Proj 40%, essay 5%, Oth 20%

This class gives you a different perspective on management. The course is light on the textbook and heavy on real-life case studies and teamwork. Professor is really nice and opens discussions to class frequently. He is a little confusing at times and doesn't clearly communicate tasks.

Agree that he's one of the best professors out there. Great person and loves to teach. But he really needs to cut down on the workload - there were numerous times when nobody understood what was going on or what was due. Luckily he gives you a thick binder with detailed information on schedules, deliverables, etc.

Stoner adds value to Fordham's faculty. That's all I can say. YOU must take him and make sure to remember what his last words are at the end of the term. There are 3 things in your career that you should never forget...watch and see.

Professor Stoner's class is a must for all GBA students. I wish all the wall street executives causing all this problems had paid to take his class. :) You will learn a lot about yourself as an individual and learn to work in a team.

This professor was WONDERFUL! His is an infectiously enthusiastic professor who thinks "outside of the box" when it comes to the format and schedule of the class. He takes the time to listen to the students and displays such refreshing levels of interest, empathy, and humility. I would definitely recommend him to anyone who asks! He is a great!
