I loved Dr. Stuart this semester. SUPER light work load. He drops your lowest test score and makes lectures interesting by plugging in small anecdotes about his life. This guy knows everything about the world! Would definitely take again

He remembers your name and is very clear what will be on the exam. This class is amazing bc there's no hw. Only 2 exams, 1 final. So the whole semester, you just need to prepare for the exams in 3 cram sessions, the rest is light course load. Makes subject entertaining and memorable. Very tough grader so make sure your essays (on exams) are perfect

He's so interesting and hilarious. He knows everything! But he grades super strict and doesn't give much feedback on tests. No homework, 3 exams and he drops lowest grade. To do well, you just need to cram before tests. Besides for that, the class is a relatively light course load.

Ed Stuart is the best professor I've had at Loyola so far. He's hilarious and always knows how to make a boring subject entertaining. He takes an interest in anyone who is willing to take an interest in the class. I would definitely take again, if only he taught Econ202 too :(. Keep in mind there's no homework and you can drop lowest test score!

I took Professor Stuart at Loyola and he was absolutely incredible. Not only did he memorize everyone's name in the class, he seemed to take a genuine interest in anyone who put forth just a little bit of effort. His lectures are entertaining, although he can go off topic. Reading the book outside of class will ensure an A, but notes suffice.

Easy A. Took Econ 201 with hi, spring of 2014. No homework. Just easy multiple choice tests. He's also a hilarious guy even though hes like 70 and has some really funny stories that he incorporate's into his lectures. Take him over over Bobby Barnes any day. I REPEAT NO HOMEWORK

I have take Prof. Stuart for two 300 level courses. I did well in each. He is an incredibly intelligent and knowledgeable guy. You will learn a lot, and most of all understand the art of painting any econ situation into a graph.I wouldn't call it easy as you have to have a well basic understanding the econ principles. Worth it however.

Impossible to fail this class (although I have seen it done) If you just come to class and listen - you'll get a C. If you take some notes you'll get a B. If you read the book - guaranteed A. His grading system is simple and just. He is very left-leaning politically. If you are conservative like me, don't argue. Remember, you are there to get an A.

Funny guy. Has lots of interesting stories to tell. Attendance is not mandatory at all. There are NO assignments except the 4 exams - which I find to be brilliant and beautiful. Exams are pretty tough, so if you don't study you won't do too well. I recommend.

Stuart teaches part time at Illinois Institute of Tech. He is a really cool guy, very nice and cultured. He makes class interesting and engages students rather than just lecturing. Don't let his nice demeanor fool you, his exams are a bit tough due to the intricate wording. Make sure to read the text carefully! The class is great though, take it!
