Extremely nice guy, but repugnant teacher. He does not help or answer questions, and has no interest in helping students understand the material. He talks of his home analogies and entertains himself with his graphing calculator. Avoid him at all costs if you need to learn math.

TAKE ANY PROFESSOR BUT THIS ONE. Awful lecturer, rambles about completely unrelated things during class. He talked more about Wrigleyville than he did Maple Plot. Uses a lot of offtopic analogies, terrible at explaining concepts. Seems confused a lot. Sole good quality: nice to students, and often available for help outside of class.

Nice teacher, not well prepared, goes off on tangents during class, class time not used effectively, tries to teach different methods (i.e. excel, maple, etc..) which can be confusing and overwhelming to some students. Prof. Shukas is an easy grader but his teaching style is very difficult.

Proffessor Schukas is THE MAN! He is probably the coolest math teacher i have ever had. I came to NEIU with very little math skills, and his teaching methods are the only ones I can remember. He lets you correct your test for pete's sake!...how could you not like the guy? He does go off topic here and there, but just on a light hearted note...lol

I HATE this teacher. He doesnt teach anything. He talks more about random things such as his bike club and the gym than math. He assigns so much homework and during a four hour class ended up only doing one problem because he was too busy bsing. NEVER TAKE HIM!

Best teacher ever! He grades very easy and even gives you back the test if you made a mistake before grading them. You just have to show him that you are willing to learn and ask questions after class. Yes he does take the whole class time to explain 2 problems but is willing to stay late to help you in any questions. You will learn alot easy A

Listen up people - Schukas was a very easy grader, and a really nice guy. If you show up to class, you will at least get a C. I handed in tests that I thought I flunked, and I would get a B. Don't believe the hype - this guy is a good as long as you show up to class!!!! Took him again because I liked him so much the first time.

I don't know what the prevoius posts are about. He takes a terribly complicated subjects like calculus and algebra and makes them understandable. And for math, that's saying something. To the people above: you actually have to show up to class to learn - also, you need to pay attention in your classes. If your schedule will allow it take his class.
