Comment:

Literally only had one encounter with Prof. Wollman. After the introductory Zoom call, all of her classes were asynchronous with optional review sessions once a week. In total she gave 5 assignments (all were exams on content she provided notes for). Idk how she is in person but as long as you read the notes and take the exams its an easy A.

Comment:

Professor Wollman is a really nice person. Her class sessions are completely optional as she posts all the lecture notes and class notes online on blackboard. As far as the testing goes, they're decent and ways to manage. They're always multiple-choice but not a lot of time in my opinion. But overall, I would definitely recommend taking her classs.

She is one of the most annoying professors I've ever had. She took this basic elective way too seriously when no one cared. Her tests were hard and she gave too many pop quizzes.

The syllabus is extremely clear and easy to follow. Tests are fair and easy if you listen to lectures. There is a textbook but not necessary if to read if you pay attention in class. If you accept her cringey humor, you'll find yourself enjoying the class and getting an easy A.

Professor Wollman was great. Just come to class and take notes and you should be fine. There are five tests which she gives you a review sheet before each one which helps a lot. Beware about phone usage in class cause she's strict about and don't even bother cheating cause she will catch you.

Amazing lady. helped graduate I was short by one credit and she allowed me to do an independent study on Music & Retail. I can't thank her enough as well she was so understanding and helpful.

NOT AN EASY A! There are 5 exams and you'll have to study hard core for them but she gives you a study guide. You can tell that she's passionate about the subject but no talking, eating, or phones/laptop during lectures. Don't even think about cheating cuz she's def gonna catch you. Only take if you have the time to study.

Professor Wollman is really enthusiastic about her topic. Sometimes she's way too political when discussing the history of pop music but sometimes it's justified. Overall a good brief overview of the history of pop music

There are 5 tests, but as long as you study you should be good. At times the lectures can be somewhat boring but overall she's a great teacher who cares for her students. No HW either.

Your grade is based on the five tests she gives throughout the semester. She gives reviews for all of the exams but the hard part is trying to memorize all the musical compositions. NO phones, NO talking, NO cheating, Don't even smile because she will be offended. Luckily she's cool with falling asleep in the class. You don't need the textbook.

Amazing professor. Very strict but knows what she's doing and makes the material very easy to understand. 5 tests and a very helpful review sheet for each test. Don't use your phone or laptop and don't talk in her class. Attend class and you'll know exactly what to study for and what you don't need to study for. Also don't cheat; she will catch you

She tries her best to make her lectures fun but won't penalize you if you fall asleep. You need to memorize a lot of vocab words for tests (which she gives you review sheets for at the beginning of the semester). There's 5 Tests which all have a review sheet. DO NOT TALK IN HER CLASS OR CHEAT She is very strict about that, also, NO PHONES IN CLASS

The class is pretty much all based on memorization. It's based on 5 tests (which she does give review sheets for), and 5 points of participation. I fell asleep during most of her lectures, but I recorded them to listen to later. She is pretty nice except when it comes to talking and electronics use, she won't hesitate to call you out on it.

5 non-cumulative exams, no homework, no projects, and no quizzes. Everything that's on the exams is always covered in class and there's always a listening section (she gives out approximately 7-13 songs to study and tests on 1-2 of them). Overall, this is a class that you need to be meticulous in. You need to work for the A, but it's not impossible

Her lectures are pretty boring (and she knows it, so it's okay to sleep), but her tests are pure memorization. Pay as much attention in class as you can and review the material she posts online and you'll be fine.

The class has 5 non-cumulative test that is based on the test reviews she gives at the beginning of the semester. I got an A in the class but you have to put a lot of effort in. It was my hardiest class during the semester but did make me stronger in the music subject.
