This professor knows her stuff about Shakespeare. It was an enjoyable class, however it was not fun doing group work and peer reviews. 3 papers and a final, which is a paper. Boring in class, a lot of reading. People were falling asleep. This could be an easy a.

Professor Belton is a gem at BC. Course consists on 6 4pg essays (4 take home, 2 in-class) and a presentation. The textbook it used everyday but it's a tiny book so not a hassle to bring it around. Teaching method is amazing and although it does seem like a lot of work for an ENGL 1 class, you will see your writing improve. Highly recommend!!

NOT a fan. She expects you to write essays to win awards even as a freshman. She does answer emails and tries to help, though. Tough grader on essays but seems to give a slight curve at the end if she likes you.

I would NOT recommend this professor. She grades her essays like research papers rather than english essays and I have asked for input on them and used what she said but it still was not good enough for her. She treats her students like they're in the 5th grade and her class was extremely boring, uninteresting and not useful at all.

Amazing professor. She truly knows the material and will bend over backwards to help you. Assignments are very clear and she has the essays due in parts and helps you along the way. I highly recommend her. Your essays must be good though, she grades like an English professor. (DUH). You also have to have good attendance.

She's such a sweet lady! Really there for her students and wants to help you. Gives back essays with tons of great comments and is always there to reread drafts. It was really a great class and I learned so much. I'm looking forward to taking more of her classes! Highly recommended!!

Interesting and smart without being engaging. She gives a lot of work and is very specific about what she wants, but does give very good guidance. A nice enough person. Just not the type to light a fire under you.

Prof Belton is a sincere and well educated in her field. It was hard trying to focus in on her boring lectures. I find her grading on papers hard. So if you don't write good papers, don't take her, she's very anal and wants things her way on the papers.

Shes nice u cant help but like her. Her class however nap time! I wish she would give an over view of the play then focus in on 1 or 2 parts, unlike how she does it just the focusing She meets with u to make sure ur working on the final paper and is willing to give ideas. Lots of interaction

BORING...not interesting at all...I wish she would go over the entire story rather than one piece of it. She is such a nice woman though....it's hard not to like her.
