Exams are almost solely based on course reading, make sure to do it and have a basic understanding of it. He grades the exams fairly liberally. However, he can be tone deaf and seems to talk for and over students (not literally, but doesnt seem to value input). Slightly pretentious and an off-topic speaker.

This class was very interesting but it's so lecturing heavy that I found myself falling asleep. His tests are also based on all of the _____ numbers of readings you get. Seriously, get ready to read.

Coach is a great guy. He talks about current events and makes them relate to what we're studying. Love doing the values walks. Tests are difficult but if you do the readings and fill out the study guide you should be fine.

Extremely knowledgeable in all facets of life. Probably has higher expectations than most FYS professors, but you truly are a better writer/reader/critical thinker because of it. Jeff Anderson is a great professor that makes a student think about all the unfairness in the world. It is not an easy class because figuring out how our cruel world really works is not easy, but it is definitely interesting! I loved his class!!

Coach is a great guy. He likes participation, and the tests are very easy to study for. Classes are really laid back and you really only have to pay attention if you want to! I had him first year first semester and I didn't think he was hard at all. I would definitely recommend him!

Jeff is a great guy and you can tell he cares about you as his student but I think he had the highest expectations out of all the FYS professors. Which was good because he pushed you but also could make the class frustrating. He likes to ramble and give an assignment every class so be prepared to read and write a lot.

Readings were very interesting and class discussion, though it sometimes strayed from the point, was always upbeat. He is passionate and knowledgeable about what he teaches...he seems to know a lot about many different things. Best thing about him is his personability and willingness to help you outside of class.

Jeff is an awesome teacher. you can tell that he really enjoys what he is teaching. I've seriously learned so much more in this class than in any of my other classes. jeff is funny, outgoing, and pushes his students to reach their potential. He's probably the best prof. I've ever had.

Jeff is very easygoing. The class is pretty much all discussion. The homework articles aren't too difficult. Sometimes the readings build up and can be a lot of work. But the class time is usually fun. Exams are all essay.

I found that Jeff had a very strong opinion about everything and was very frustrating to learn from. He stopped a lot of class discussion because of his continual need to "relate" things outside of the actual discussion. It has been a very frustrating year, to say the least.

Jeff is a funny prof.This class was interesting and my favorite. He keeps everyone involved.The tests are hard, but if you take good notes and study, they are doable.He really wants everyone to do well. The class is basically just reading and journals.The readings aren't too long, and the journals are really easy. I am now majoring in peace studies

this class is effin great!! Jeff is awesome, funny guy too, he asigns alot of readings, but thats basically it, and you just have to have a review of the reading in some sort of journal. If you love peace and hate bush jeff is a good option to know more about world politics and other stuff. Highly recommend his class.
