Jeff is an amazing TA. He is intimidating at first, but he actually does care about his students. Knowing that lecture is hard for majority of students, he tries his best to make lab easier. He actually teaches way better than majority of the physics professors. His lab saved my physics grade.

Comment:

50% of grade is from the labs, the other 50% is the final. He is an easy grader in the lab. He cuts off many stuff and only gives the main parts needed to understand the subject. Make sure you go through his rules, or he will take off points. Usually finish in an hour. Do all the labs, take good notes, and study for the final, you will pass.

I was scared of him at first. He really did everything possible so that we all were ready for the final. He's not only a generous grader but he really is great help. Take him for lab!!!

Great lab TA! He's really clear and concise on what he's looking for. He cuts out busy work and zones you into what you need to focus/prepare for the lab final. Great lab TA, great guy! Also offers help when students need it :)

I took him for PHYS 180L and he often cut the labs short based on the logic that if we are able to do the hardest problem on the lab then we can do the easier problems. Lab is supposed to last for 3 hours and we were usually out of there in 60-90 minutes. This was really nice and didn't appear to have a negative affect in the long run for me.

Jeff puts up all the necessary formulas and other information on the board before each lab, which makes it really simple to know what needs to be done. He starts off each lab by showing the students how to use the equipment, and the labs always end around an hour early. He's also pretty funny.

Hands down, the best lab instructor I've ever had. His labs were so informative. He did his best to teach us stuff that were supposed to be taught during lectures. He's funny too which made going to lab exciting.

Awesome! I found him on here. I took his lab a while back. It was an absolute blast - especially after coming off the PHYS 180 lab which was no fun at all. I was pleasantly surprised and learned a ton. He's top notch - take him if you can!

I appreciate the fact that he takes into consideration how difficult the lecture portion of physics can be and tries to make labs as clear cut as possible. He is pretty lenient when it comes to grading. Has a tendency to make jokes at the expense of students, but most students find him funny regardless. I would definitely take him again.

The best TA.He has hilarious stories to prove his point and the lab was never boring.may sound mean in the beginning but he is so sweet, he asks if we needed help or if we had any question. He offers help when he sees us studying near his office. He is humble even though he has a great knowledge in physics.btw,He is a mathematician and a physicist.

Jeff knows how to teach the material in the most efficient way possible. He cuts out all the "busy work" from labs so that students focus on what is actually relevant. You will pretty much get an A in lab if you pay attention to his quick introductions and ask questions while working.

Jeff is the best professor that I have had at UNLV. He takes physics and makes it easy to understand. It's a shame that his talent is wasted in lab. Going to the lecture was a waste of time. I learned all of the physics that I needed from Jeff's lab. It really helped me to pass the class.
