The class was not easy but there is a generous curve at the end of the semester. Midterm and final exam are difficult but homework and quizzes are easy.

Homework is easy and you can redo for full credit. Exams are standard for any math class so you better be prepared if you want to do well. Online lectures were asynchronous. He had videos of how to do the assignments after we turned them in so that we could check our work. Not a life changing professor but you won't go wrong with Dr. H.

I'm not sure if I've taken a worse professor in my time at the U of M. I have had a number of bad professors, but Dr. H blows them all out of the water. Don't waste your time with this crappy professor.

Impossible exams. The material isn't that difficult, but he doesn't explain it in a clear way and assumes the whole class knows everything about stats. Take it with another professor.

The class takes a lot of work, but Dr. H is always very prepared. I found that he explained the material really well and gave opportunities to practice it. You definitely need to attend lecture, and he does a lot of cold calling. There's a semester-long group project, but it wasn't too difficult. Study hard for the tests!

This class will take a lot of your time and effort to master. Tests are difficult and choices are all of the common mistakes people make in the calculations. Nice guy, very smart, very academic.

Avoid if you can, but likely youre stuck. 8 credit class work load, a 1 credit class worth of benefit. Don't buy the textbook, you get an E version when you pay $100 for the busy work (HW) The online class was an old recording of a b squad instructor, talking quietly for hours. The consensus after the final was, wishing we went to St. Thomas.

Dr. H is an awesome professor and definitely ended up being one of my favorites! He has a very dry sense of humor, and takes a little getting used to, but his lectures are really clear. He does everything to help out his students and make sure we understand the material really well. Be prepared to participate. There's about 4 hours of work per week

Dr. Huchendorf is truly one of the best professors I've ever had. He takes an incredibly complex field like business statistics and makes it easy to understand. That being said, there is only one midterm in the whole class, so if you do poorly on that, you're kind of screwed unless you kill the Final. Up to 15 points of EC may be earned.

Do not pay attention to the people who say 25-30 hours of work per week. Those people must have the brainpower of a newt because it should take no more than 5-8 hours including time watching the lectures. You never have to crunch numbers, just interpret statistical outputs. Exams are hard but grading is fairly lenient.

Dr. H... His classes are difficult and very time consuming; however, he is the best professor I have ever had. The work load is on the high end and I would recommend not signing up for a lot of credits or have other classes that are easier for you when taking his courses. You will get more out of his classes than any others but be ready to work.

Huchendorf is a great professor. He helps a ton and is very knowledgeable. This is a tough course though. A lot is expected of you. There are a lot of topics to cover and tests are both hard and make up a big portion of the grade. Go to class! Go to his hours and learn from him. This is a class where you get out what you put in.

If you took SCO 2550 with him, you will have to make an effort not to scream during every single class. Over half of the material is exactly the same and presented with the exact same cheesy lines as 2550. Class time is often a waste of time, but you are required to go to get points for the in-class assignments. Enjoys cold calling.

RIDICULOUSLY time consuming. I spent 25-30 hours preparing for this course every week. Average class grade on the midterm was a C. Def the worst class of MBA program. Take another prof if possible. You will never use 95% of what you're taught, unless you're an actuarian stuck in a tactical role and your company can't afford to buy you a computer.
