I try to live by the saying if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all. But I'll make an exception here. Business policy is a pretty painful class. I didn't learn anything from this class and I didn't get an A. Avoid this course. Book is useless.

Egelhoff is one of the worst professors that I have ever had. Do not even try to be creative or think or your own solution to a case because there is only one right answer (his answer). The class is taught from material that he wrote and is more boring than the class. Waste of money.... AVOID this guy.

very boring class. everyone gets a B irrespective of whether they did well or not. if you did better, don't expect an A and if you did worse, don't expect a C. B is what you will get. very old and dated material. old irrelevant cases.

For required class, it is okay. The case studies were interesting and the lectures were clear. Not very exciting, but the professor does a good job tying everything together.

You will be reading cases and writing them up for the HW grade. There is a final project and presentation. Pretty much agree with other comments here.

Yuck! Probably tied for my least favorite class with MIS. This is supposed to be a capstone class for the program, and I really hope I learned more at Fordham than this class tried to highlight. The class is so outdated, and I really have no clue what I was supposed to learn. He is incredibly boring and always right! Do not disagree with him!

One of the worst teachers I had at Fordham (tied with Holden)- just talks and no class participation- learnt nothing- but at least you don't have to go to class- just go to the ones right before an assignment is due and you'll be fine.

This class is the traditional lecture that you get from a lifelong academic that has done the same ol' routine for the past 20 years. Don't disagree with him he doesn't care. All you will get is "let me tell you how I see it." Too bad since this Business Policy course is supposed to be a capstone class. The way I see it is stay away if possible.

Just as the previous comments stated, this professor is as boring as they come, and says in 10 minutes what could have been said in 3. One knock is that he's still using some case studies from the 1970's! Workload isn't too bad though, and showing up is somewhat optional. With minimal effort you can pull off a B+, which is exactly what I did.

His just-the-facts style and tendency to lecture for two hours might weigh on you, but he's a competent teacher who actually sets course objectives and achieves them. It would be ideal for Fordham to assign its best professors (such as they are) to this course, but he makes a credible effort. (Don't buy the textbook, though. It's a waste of money.)

BOOOOOOOOOOOORING..He puts the B in Babble. Could have been a useful class, but again the 'old school' professor's use their outdated teaching technique. 3 written case studies (5pgs) and a final presentation/paper (20 pages. Avoid if possible, if not bring a pillow.

Prof. Egelhoff means well, he just likes to ramble and repeat himself. It is a straightforward course and an easy compliement to an otherwise tough semester. 3 take-home case write ups (3-5 pgs) and 1 group project (not labor intensive). Class can drag on, but overall, I did learn a lot - but an easy A if you do the work.

This is one of those courses you wish they would eliminate from the curriculum. I understand what the school is trying to do, but you should have the BEST professor you can find to bring together all you have learned. This professor is terribly boring and forces clock watching as you pray the class in almost over. Previous post is very accurate.

He is as boring as they come. He will say anything in 500 words that he could say in 50. HE is not open to alternate opinions or interpretations. He spends class droning on and rarely encourages or allows for discussion.

The material is important, but he lectures without end, does not want class discussion, work assignments are long and frequent, and reading is alot. He grades easy when you dont disagree with his perspective

Comment:
Rather boring class and boring professor. Class is not overly demanding. Three short papers and one group presentation. Take this class with Egelohoff only if you can't take it with Prof. Sen.
