He doesn't seem very approachable but his review sessions were very helpful (especially for the essay questions), he practically tells you what's going to be on every test. If you go to class and listen to his lectures there's no way a halfway intelligent person can't pass.

He tries so hard, but he's very unorganized sometimes. I was often confused on what he wanted for an assignment. Field trips were the worst as they took far longer than nessacary and they were on saturday mornings. The class was good though, like natural resource policy , wildlife management and eeob class smushed together.Sometimes too much work

He obviously cares about helping students learn. His notes posted online were a very helpful supplement during lecture. Exams (total of 9!) were poorly written at first but have improved as the quarter goes one. Read the text! His lecture notes aren't thorough enough to understand everything and get a good grade on exams.

the class is very technical... and dr. harder makes it worse than necessary. He enjoys the fact that he knows more than you and he wants to keep it that way.

Dr. Harder is VERY technical, but then this class is VERY technical. A 400 level class is not easy, but he conveys the ideas quite clear. He is a bit critical, but an excellent professor. If you have problems in this class, choose a new career!!!!!!!!!
