Old world gentility;calls students Mr. or Ms. Ivy League vibe.Old school; calls on students-hate that. Takes attendance. Absorbed in his subject; lots of reading of ancient classics. Not real specific on what to know for exams; Two exams: If you don't do well on the first one and do well on the final, that is weighted more heavily-good that way.

Comment:
I was surprised by the name of the course, we don't study Medieval Cul. the entire time. The base of the course is about reading the Bible and discussing commentators of the Bible and the nature of God. Prof. Morrison is extremely knowledgeable and is an interesting lecturer if you are interested in the subject. The readings can be very tedious.

He is a good teacher but he is hard and uses all the reading material that he assigns, which is a lot. His classes go very in depth and analytical. If you don't like reading and do not go to class or pay attention then this class is not for you. Otherwise he is very nice, but you need to study hard to get a B.

This was, bar none, the most difficult class I have ever had. He was a GREAT teacher, incredibly knowledgable, but the syllabus had something like 40 different texts on it. Final paper was brutal.

I will not stand back idly and watch people bash Dr. Morrison! I found him to be a very learned, insightful, and fair professor. If you did the work he rewarded you in return. A good man!

Can make grown grad students cry. Delights in ripping apart bibliographic data. Delights in ripping apart anyone's comments. This course should have been called medieval christianity. This man is obscessed with WASPy euphemisms and outdated pretention
