Comment:

Dr. House is one of my favorite professors by far. She uses bullet point notes and goes pretty quickly and thoroughly through her lectures, so be prepared to have a cramping hand. However, she's nice, caring, and bakes us cookies throughout the semester. She is helpful during office hours and explains things well. Doesn't allow notes by computer.

She was extremely helpful outside of class during her office hours. She gives her notes in a bulleted format that you should just copy down word for word. House doesn't put any surprise questions on her exams- she would have already given an example question in the notes or homework. Homework was given mostly every night.

Comment:

Best professor at Illinois Wesleyan! She genuinely cares about each student. dry clear notes. Exams are quite difficult, but she will prepare you for them. Made me consider changing my major all semester. Highly recommend Dr. House. She is the best and I will miss her class so much.

She's awful. Her notes are in bulletin format and she just blows through them. Today she just gave us answers to example problems with out doing them. Probably the worst chemistry professor I've ever had. She's also the most picky grader ever

Dr. House is INCREDIBLE! She genuinely cares for her students, and is always willing to help. She is very good at explaining difficult chemistry concepts in a way you can understand. She is very fair, and only tells you what you need to know at the beginning of class. If you have to take a chem lab, TAKE HER! One of the BEST professors here.

She goes rather fast when going over notes on her powerpoints. The class is not overly difficult, but she is super helpful to everyone. She invites students to her office, bakes cookies and sends emails. She genuinely cares. Highly recommended.

Dr. House is an overall good teacher. She is extremely helpful outside of class! She was a great lab teacher too; however, she goes super fast during lectures! It is kinda like writing a marathon to keep up with her then you are too concentrated on getting down the notes that you don't know what she is talking about...

I must say, I always look forward to going to her class. She is very good at teaching the content, which is a 180 difference with all of the bio proffessors, and she is helpful when you have a question. The only thing with her is that I highly suggest you do the practice work, so you canunderstand the stuff for the tests, which are straight forward

Awesome!! Very helpful outside of class. SOme lab teachers won't help worth**** in lab, but she always will. Although she doesn't teach lecture this year still go to her for help, you won't regret it!!!!!

Although she is a nice lady she sucks at teaching general chemistry. Maybe she's better in the higher level classes but I couldn't follow her lectures at all. I worked my ass off to understand and still dropped her class.

Dr. House is an ok professor. Her first couple of tests are harder but they get easier as you move into the course. She is relatively helpful. Be ready to take notes the entire period though. She will curve some and she is pretty understanding about r
