Comment:

The teacher is very old and sweet, but super quiet. No homework except for when you have a speech to prepare (there were only 3) and 2 easy tests. The only downside is his powerpoints are REDICULOUS. They are so busy and filled with odd colors and distracting backgrounds and gifs. Often times the info is repetitive and common sense. Easy A though

Pros: The class was an easy A with no homework whatsoever. The teacher is quite friendly. Cons: The powerpoints are ridiculous and very distracting. I learned nothing useful. If you don't read the textbook you won't do well on the exams.

As nice of a guy as he is, the only class I have enjoyed less was my 6 hour art class on Fridays. His PPTs are patronizing, obnoxiously unfunny, and feel irrelevant to the subjects quite often. Barely teaches. Uses his PPTs and videos as a heavy crutch. Didn't touch the book, so I wasted $. Show up for the review day, and the tests are easy.

Comment:

I enjoyed Larry as a teacher because he was a nice guy and meant well. However when it came to criteria, he was all over the place. Lectures that were supposed to be about speech often veered off onto lectures about race equality. (Necessary, but obviously not what the class was meant for). Also the textbook was a joke and the tests were DIFFICULT.

He's a really nice guy. Definitely an easy A if just get up there and do your speeches. Power points and class lectures are 90% random videos that are semi-relevant to public speaking. You won't really learn anything but he definitely shows some interesting and funny videos.

His powerpoints are a joke, you better like dancing cats and crazy annoying music and random images. Spends class lecture time showing pointless videos and rarely covers the actual material. Drops multiple chapter tests with little warning Review day? More like talk as fast as I can. Often s exist, repetitive, annoying, and tells too many stories.

Larry was a great teacher, he helped me get over my fear of speeches. I really liked the way he organized things. Some of his powerpoints are a little boring BUT if you pay attention to them and take NOTES -everything will be on the test. Fun teacher- I would take a class with him again.

EASY A at the expense of taking THE BORINGEST CLASS ON EARTH!the power points are whack and have nothing to do with public speaking or the test. HE TALKED ABOUT HITLERS BIG LIE FOR AN HOUR AND A HALF!!! He grades very easily on speeches there is no pressure or outlines required. 1 midterm & non-cumulative final, both multiple choice. 4 speeches. Attendance is mandatory. Got out of class early almost every day. Easy A if you read the text book. Irrelevant videos and lecture. REALLY strange PowerPoints, goes really fast through them. You MUST read the textbook to do well on the tests because he does NOT cover it in class.

Really great nice teacher. Super easy class, very fun and relaxing. I would recommend this teacher. His teaching style is different, but he makes it easy and exciting. :)

Worse teacher I have had so far. He doesn't go over anything that will be on the test and all we did in class was watch YouTube videos that had nothing to do with the topics we were going to be tested on. We didn't even give speeches!! His grading system makes no sense and he is extremely vague when you have questions. Don't take him!

Nice thing is he has options for final (speech, test, or essay). Dawkins is so nice and HILARIOUS! My friends and I loved his stories. He made a so-so topic very interesting and funny. I always looked forward to class. Discussions during PowerPoints got interesting with different opinions ofstudents. I would love to take him again!

This is the most boring and repetitive teacher and class I've ever had. The powerpoints are hell. Dawkins is friendly and helpful (and seems to go in slow motion at all times), but the class could have been so much more fun and interesting. Don't feel like I got much from it.
