i took this class as a HS sr. her class was very unorganized. assigned some HW in class, but added more right before it was due. likes it when people voice their opinions in discussions. was tough on people who didn't pay attention. don't expect to learn how to write in this class, just improve. if you're attentive she'll like you.

Was very unorganized. Never had enough papers or would leave in the middle of class to go print them. Late a lot. So much class discussion it got annoying. We barely talked about anything meaningful in class, and then she would assign a ton of homework, and sometimes assign even more online once class was over because she forgot to assign in class.

Lisa is a really nice woman. She may be a little confusing with assignments but you just have to ask for clarification. Sometimes can be a tough grader, depending on your writing style. Assigned a lot of small homework assignments along with essays, overall wasn't that bad.

If you want an intellectual english class where you learn and experience new thing every class, DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS. I was literally bored out of my mind. The only reason I didn't drop this class was because I didn't want to waste the time and credits I did have for this class. So scatterbrained, nothing planned. No syllabus. Late. Favorites.

We never received an actual syllabus and all the assignments were those of another teacher. She was late 99% of the time (like 10 min late at least), but would make a big deal if someone was absent for one day. The papers were almost too easy and her grading is a little whacked (the journal from the whole semester was only 10 points?). Easy A.

Miss Simon is by far the best instructor that ive had at Cabrillo.As an instructor she takes the time to help you out. Easy going. Essays:4 3 essays and the 4th is the research paper. The topics are fairly easy, well the class in general is easy. Shes nice,kind, amazing, and understanding! I would definitely recommend you take her! Best instructor

Awful English teacher. Hated every minute of her class. No help, horribly disorganized, the best thing about her is that she shows up late to class. As for the course itself, it was the same as my high school junior AP english class, so not challenging at all.

HOW DARE YOU, Cabrillo college, hire such an incompetent buffoon! this teacher is barely capable of teaching at a 6th grade level and is constantly battling her debilitating incompetence when ever she addresses the class. if you are looking to gain any type of guidance or further progress your writing skills - this is not the class for you.

Lisa was a permanent sub for Creative Writing and she was amazing. Thoughtful, interesting, involved and aware. The class had a huge potluck and presentation at the end. She was a gem. I'd take any class she taught.
