My favorite professor by far! He knows how to teach a class by using humor and a very down to earth attitude. I learned a lot. I had him for a year and was going through a lot of personal stuff, and he was very understanding and did whatever he could to help me out. He bends over backwards for all of his students and he is an amazing teacher!

just a GREAT guy who expects to have an adult discussion in class. He's so down-to-earth and easy to talk to about anything. He's also very accessible, office always open. TAKE WHATEVER CLASSES HE OFFERS!!

The best! He is kind, intelligent. He trys the best for his students. All information he gives in easy way to get for students. He is flexible with information, he sees weakness of students and trays to help them with helpful adds. Pleasure to be in the class you learn a lot of things from this professor ,really a lot.

Dr Patkowski's feral children course carefully explored the human/animal boundary through a survey of literary and scientific sources. We studied the question of what separates human from animal? The course was truly inspiring! Three graded in-class writing assignments, attendance, and a final research paper are mandatory. Dr. P grades generously.

Great class. Will challenge you on many levels. Midterm, final exam, two field reports and a research assignment are required. Prof Patkowski is very flexiable, understanding and generous with grading but pay attention to details and follow his explicit instructions. Prepare to work hard. A great elective for those in the Liberal Studies MA program

Dr. Patkowski is a generous, intelligent, and amiable graduate professor. Classes consist of a hybrid lecture /discussion setting. Reading assignments are modest. A demanding class, especially with the two field article review projects. He is an extremely fair grader and rewards hard work. As long as you adhere to guidelines, you will do well.
