Comment:

Dr. Pottinger is one of the best professors I've ever had. His course isn't an easy A, but worth taking him if it's one of your core classes. The listening quizzes are difficult at first but if you put in the time and effort to study, you'll be fine. He gives a lot of extra credit which also helps a lot. I wish all my professors were like him.

Dr Pottinger is awesome, he makes the subject really interesting and is very engaging in class. The exams are really easy if you actually study and even if you do bad there's a ton of extra credit. You are not trying if you don't get an A

The class focuses mostly on classical music, but it's not about notes and pitches but about the music itself. You can tell he loves teaching about music and definitely gets you enthusiastic as well. Tons of extra credit opportunities to help with the more difficult tests. Don't need to study and no homework ever.

best roots class ever if you are interested in music. he clearly knows what he is talking about and is very passionate. he's very friendly, and extremely intelligent. gives weekly quizzes that are only extra credit. the three listening quizzes can be tricky. you have to study, but not all that much. seriously .. he knows everything. love him.

This guy is maaaaad cool. He gives so many opportunities so that you will get a good grade in his class. Extremely helpful, knowledgable and just a cool guy. Tests are a bit tricky because you end up overanalyzing yourself. Just strict on grammar on the 2 papers. TAKE THIS GUY!!
