If you are not an art history major DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS! took it as a filler for the credit and dropped before midterm. 10pg paper on unpopular paintings (impossible to find references), boring lectures, and must take notes on everything. gave an image LIST and for midterm you must know the names of painting, the artist and decade painted.

Knows what she's talking about and has a wealth of knowledge about art itself. Great professor though she requires you to do a lot of outside reading on top of the 2 textbooks she wants you to get for the class.

She is an amazing person, very compassionate and understanding. Though, I would agree with most of the comments made here about her being disorganized at times, and playing favorites and being extremely difficult on exams and research paper. Wish she was more clear about the guidelines for exams and papers, especially in her comments on draft paper

This professor knows her stuff. She can be a bit unorganized at times, looking for slides or having conversation with formal students in the middle of the class. However, she does go over things to make sure you understand all the theory. She is not too clear when it comes to explaining what she wants for the paper. Her exams are hard. study!

definitely NOT my favorite art professor. her class was highly unorganized, she was always late and running around looking for slides (half of which were upside-down). not very helpful.she either likes you or she doesnt.plays favorites. i am an A student, but her class was not easy. i ended up with an A-. harsh grader!

i'm tired of reading comments saying "boring". those are obviously those taking this for an ez A. everyone knows art is a boring subject. it only interests those who are interested in it. she's not a push over like someone said, but she knows her stuff. if u do the work and study, youll be fine...BUT U HAVE TO DO THE WORK/STUDY! take only if intstd

those calling her boring are the ones who don't have an interest in the subject matter. anyone interested in art knows that the suject can be boring by nature. if ur interested, however, she's cool. careful, she's no push over, but if u do the work, you'll be fine (finals are cumulative). You have to have interest in the subject, if not, dont take.

She is not easy grade. However, if you take good notes and really like art you will do well. She is cool, but not a push over. Lots of reading, not just knowing slides but also remembering the text info about works and other articles for exams. She is a very accessible.

Professor Hadler is very challenging and knowledgable in her field. I actually began the course having minimal interest in Modern Art, and ended the class loving it. She is very helpful in answering questions and provides plenty of time for students who need additional attention. I would take her again.

Yea, Hadler is nice, but her class is extremely boooring. Plus, you have tons of slides that you have to remember for the midterm and tests. Be prepared for alot of work.

Very cool teacher. If you are interested in art you should take her class. The more you talk and take notes the higher your final grade. If you share your thoughts in class you will almost go up an entire grade. I had B averages on her exams and B+/A on her papers. I got "B+" and an "A" the two semesters I had her.
