Professor Johnson was awesome! She is a little shy and awkward in class but it gets better. If you are a decent writer, you'll do fine. There is a heavy amount of reading and writing but thats expected in a higher level class. She was still funny at times and a gives good feedback.

Comment:

Great for military students on Camp Pendleton. I took her class fast track on Pendleton and it was great. She is very easygoing because she understands our work schedules aren't always similar to that of civilian jobs. If the class is full and students are trying to join though she will drop you from the class in the first two weeks. A lot of reading and discussion but one of the books is a military experience book so it's really enjoyable. She is a bit shy but once she is comfortable class is fun. One twenty page journal, three five page essays, one ten page research essay, and a presentation.

Very fair professor. Expectations are very clear. If you come to class with the expectation that you want to get better, you will like her. She will go out of her way for you to get better. Make sure you come to each class having read at least 80% of the material assigned. Don't worry about being right. Nice lady

This english class was pretty much the same as all english classes. Two 5 page papers and one 10 page paper. She was KINDA nice while grading, but don't count on it. She was a VERY nervous teacher, and you can tell she was super shy. She was also very strict about being late to class or not showing. I don't recommend taking her class.

OMg…..This class was intense, but due to been easy and teaching method of Professor, she made it easy with the reading. I recommend her for any one to take her class.

NOT a creative thinking course. Routinely taught as if to high schoolers or lower. Nice woman, though, really nice... Analysis was commonly on characters with little speculation on the author or interpretation on the meaning. VERY BASIC. Easy A. Just don't expect to think outside the box at all and you'll do fine.

This teacher is very nervous in front of the class, and commonly misinterprets the context of student's comments. She definitely has favorites. Don't expect to learn how to improve your writing with this class, at all; and if you're not a decent writer to begin with don't take this course. Constantly late with assignments,and grades papers in class

Definitely ****. I felt very uncomfortable in her class. I would NOT recommend this teacher to anyone. Definitely has favorites. and if she doesn't like you, your screwed. Don't move at all or she'll stare you down. Told me I'd be kicked out of her class if I ever did my math homework in class again. Treats her students like their in high school.

Eng. has been one of my stronger subjects, but the way Ms.Johnson taught her class made me wonder if we were actually learning about this subject. Her schedule is not consistent. She is not clear on the assignments, and her grading technique is questionable. One assignment was heavily graded on the video footage rather than your research paper.

Worst teacher I have ever had. No personality, can't express herself clearly, gives you controversial comments about your work and just does not seem to care. Very sad. Do not be creative in this class. Stick to her instructions and hope she gives you a decent grade. She does not use blackboard or provide an email or contact for her students.

ALOT of reading and disscusions on the reading, lets you out early, alot of essays and one huge one for final grade, very strict with students, not a very good teacher, boring class, but if you stick with the reading and writting youll pass

I took this class 8 wk fast track. Very easy if you already can write fairly well. If not be careful taking this class with professor Johnson. BTW DO NOT TALK, WHISPER, OR MOVE YOUR EYEBALLS IN HER CLASS!! TAKES NO CRAP FROM ANY STUDENT.

This class was the biggest waste of time. She had absolutely no schedule or anything resembling a curriculum. The videos we watched did not correlate with anything at all. She drops your grade if you are late 3 times or more, which is pointless because you aren't doing anything worth coming to class for. STAY AWAY!!!!!

the class pretty much consists of reading essays and discussing them in class. you have to write about 4 5 page essays and one 10 page research paper with a presentation. it's easy... you don't have much to do, and as long as you read and write essays you will be okay. she also lets you out way early

Ms. Johnson is indeed a bit uncomfortable in front of the class, but she is well-educated and if you make an effort to do well, you will be recognized. She answered my questions, and graded my papers in a way that helped me learn, and not feel criticized.

My uncle had a heart attck the last 2 weeks of class and I called before class to e-mail my paper and she said I had to bring it to her the next class meeting and she WOULDN'T take any points. I was at a B in her class and she gave me a C b/c she said the paper was late. Very insensitive, and plays favorites.
