He expected you to figure everything out yourself. Never liked explaining things unless you were one of his star students. He never had office hours unless it was right before his evening sociology class. Yeah he was also a sociology professor. This class was an equivalent of a full time job.

He explains thing very clearly and give good notes. I did not need refer to the textbook much. As long as you attend the lectures and take notes you will be fine. He's also lenient with project deadlines.

hes a really good professor. hes fairly nice but does have a pretty short temper but he explains things very clearly, i never even had to use the book i just referred to my notes and i did fine in the class.

HORRIBLE. Professor doesn't care if you don't understand a problem. He just gives a really loud sigh and says he can't explain it and he has to move on. Attendance is a must...if you are 5 minutes late, he will shut and lock the door and you will not be able to enter the class. Very demanding with the amount of work he gives.

first of all, why is he still teaching?? this guy is like in his 80s he needs to retire. he's boring, he mumbles, he's always confused. his exams are hard and he gives too much homework. hes not fun or interesting at all. if you're not a computer person, don't take this class

Terribly mediocre in terms of teaching style and ability. I can forgive that if he were easy or was nice/interesting. Refuses to give a make up exam, even if you tell him in advance that you will not be able to make it. Constantly seems aloof. I wouldn't necessarily avoid him but if theres a better option, take it.

Awesome teacher. I wish I could have him for all my CIS courses. When you finish the class, you leave knowing alot. But, if you're not a CIS major, I would avoid taking this class, bec. it requires alot of work and you must be willing to invest the time into it. That, not withstanding, he's awesome!

He's a very nice profressor willing to go over the material over and over for those who do not understand it. My advice--if you've never taken a computer language class, go out and get yourself a tutor for this class. I didn't need one, but I found myself helping out my fellow classmates often.

He makes sure that you understand the material by assigning coding projects. They are fairly easy, and if you get stuck, he will be available to help you. Very lenient on deadlines and no homework. :)
