Richard was a good teacher and cared about the success of his students. He even allowed us to have a say in setting his office hours to work with our schedules. Accessible through email almost 24-7. Has a cheerful personality, and knows what he's teaching.

Took BUS 140 online. He is a very supportive teacher for an online course, on D2L often, and responds to questions quickly. Be prepared for A LOT of work in BUS 140. For this course online, I used the old Microsoft Office 2010 text and did just fine - don't bother spending over $100 for the current text, the 2010 was $10 on usedvic.

Comment:

I had this guy for BUS 140 which is a very dry subject; but he was so enjoyable as an instructor I signed up for web site design with him. He can come off a bit gruff, but if you don't waste his time, he's very personable. He made dry subject matter interesting. He does go quickly thru demos/lectures so computer literacy is a must to keep up.

I could not have asked for a better instructor for this class (Web Design). Richard has obviously taught it many times before and has a plan for the entire semester. It IS challenging though, so go to class EVERY DAY. The assignments were easy as long as you keep up with everything! Richard is extremely knowledgeable on the subject - recommend!

Amazing teacher. Come to class with a clear mind and enjoy and participate and you will get an A!! Appreciate his humour. He actually cares about his students and wants them to pass. Very helpful with questions. The class actually made me change my second year course selections. Very happy with the class, schedule and teaching! Recomended!

Very responsible knowlegeable, and fair. BUS 141 could be boring if you are not interested in such materials but you've got to do it. Richard makes it easy through a lot of class projects. He doesn't keep you waiting for the result of projects, he is absolutely on-time. It's a good experience to Experience MIS with Richard.

Richard is a good teacher, I enjoyed his teaching style. This class is one that if you do not understand a basic use of Microsoft Office I would suggest that you attend every class as you can fall behind quite quickly. He can come off as rude, but he is quite an enjoyable teacher, always willing to laugh

painfully boring material. He did a great job getting through it all without anyone losing their mind. breaks up the work with lots of mini group assignments but gives you time to complete most in class. good teacher, I would recommend.

Richard is great. Extremely helpful and pleasant. My one complaint: those powerpoint slides are SO boring. The course material is extremely dry, luckily Richard breaks it up with lots of assignments. Look forward (or dread) lots of group work too.

Richard is awesome. Although the course material is very dry and alot to take in, he does a good job teaching and making sure the students understand. You MUST keep up though, come to class, read, and do the quizzes. If you do that, you can easily get an A in this class. Richard was extremely helpful, in and out of class. I would def recommend!
