Comment:
Regarding those "lost in lectures", Ive taken many Ron classes and what causes this issue is if I dont keep up on the reading consistently and ask questions. Unlike some prof's Ron doesnt always go over the reading in class, but expands and connects ideas. And it is not just the material that is cumulative over the semester- but Ron's logic...

Ron is very easy going and nice. He is very soft in his speaking so he can sound dull because he never raises his voice or changes tone. Its an interesting and fairly easy class. One of my favorite professors.

Ron is a very nice man who cares about his students. Although I have to agree with the other ratings that he is incomprehensible when teaching. I suggest looking at what he writes on the board and what is in your previous notes to follow along. His notes are clearer than he is. Tests are difficult so read. Lectures are dull so bring coffee.

Intro. Philosophy was very easy but you have to do the work. Make sure you read and participate it will help! Study, the test are harder than you think they will be.

Definitely passionate about his topic, and tries very hard to clarify things when needed. Problem is he is impossible to follow most of the time. Very friendly and loves when people actually respond to his rambling lol. Tests are rather confusing.

Ron rambles on and on during this class, while the students have no idea what he is talking about. Then when he asks if you understand, everyone says no and he tries to clear it up, but just makes it worse. Exams are very hard.

This dude is awesome. The philosphical crap he says is crazy. You'll have fun, espically if you like baseball.
