Comment:
He's inspirational. He showed me the beauty of economics. He used currents events to explain economic theories. He pushed the class to think. He taught me how to think. Isn't that what a great professor does - to inspire the students? His style is unique. Chat with him in his office, it's lovely. I learnt so much more chatting with him. I miss him

The way he teaches make you want to drop out of his class asap. The hand written notes that he makes you photocopy is very unorganized and completely useless. Hardly understand what he was tryin to say. His assignments and exams are base on newspaper articles, like free style written test. Not recommended.

After writing the midterm I thought about withdrawing. I ended up with A+. Sharir makes simple things as complicated as possible to help you think through real problems. In his own words, he's "a dying breed". But then again, so is a true education. If you want to have a desk job, don't take him.

Well this should go against the "haters are people who don't do well". I got an A, and I couldn't have hated it more. Very disorganized, unclear, difficult to understand, photocopying all the notes sucks, and he is technologically retarded. Take this course from someone else.

Very interesting teaching style. He makes you think, and he really expects a lot. The photocopying was annoying. Overall, I think I'd take a class from him again.

I might be one of the "haters" but he's just useless when it comes to flow. He goes off on tangents and can test you on them. Completely inconsiderate when it comes to difficulties in class.

Very different style...haters probably are the ones who don't do well anyways. Once you adapt to his system, it is a lot more real and forces you to think instead of regurgitating mindless economics textbooks.

Must photocopy 200 pgs for class.Textbook stinks.Treats 282 like 385 just as hard if not harder.Pick another prof if you want a good grade. He uses the multiplier concept from ECON to scale grades, really doesnt help you if you are ontop of the class avg
